Kaffeemitte

Was ist die Steigerung von hipster? Hipster, hipsterer… Kaffee Mitte;-) ! Cooles Design zieht sich durch’s Café, die Musik passt perfekt. Bequem ist zwar anders, aber für einen Kaffeeklatsch in Ordnung. Am Laptop arbeiten gestaltet sich auf den hohen Hockern und niedrigen Bänken dann doch eher schwieriger.
Der Kaffee schmeckt toll, da kann man nichts sagen. Dafür fand ich den großen frisch gepressten O-​Saft ganz schön teuer. und eher klein.
Wer sich eine Kaffeepause zwischen Shopping Marathons gönnen mag und nicht auf Qualität verzichten will ist hier erstmal richtig, schwierig wird es dann evtl. aber einen Platz zu bekommen und das nötige Kleingeld sollte auch da sein. Für mich kein «every day» coffee place.

Also ich finde dieses Café sehr nett und das Essen war beim letzten Mal sehr lecker.
Aber ich kann mich einfach nicht mit dem Kaffee anfreunden. Er ist ein wenig zu bitter und auch sonst nicht sehr gut.
Aber ein sehr netter Platz zum arbeiten und einfach mal kurz ausruhen.

Kaffe Mitte é um ponto de encontro. Com uma décor básica de influência industrial está sempre cheio. Muitos lutam por um lugar nas grandes mesas na área externa de onde se observa a vida passar. Ou melhor os compradores passarem já que fica numa esquina de um das ruas mais populares de Mitte a Neue Schönhauser Strasse
O serviço é lento. Bem lento. Pode-​se esperar uns 20min por um misto quente (toast panini). Nos fins de semana a dica é pedir uma das opções prontas de sua vitrine. O preço é um pouco caro para os padrões berlinenses. Um capuccino com toast panini custa quase 9 euros. O café é incrível digno café italiano de onde vêm boa parte de seus funcionários. Os sanduíches são incríveis. Além de saborosos sua apresentação podemos nos faz comer com os olhos.
Servem opções de pratos para aqueles que desejem almoçar ou fazer uma refeição. O café da manhã completo é uma ótima opção para os dias mais relax já que pode-​se esperar mais de 30min até que fiquem prontos.

Nice place and the coffee is alright. We only had a piece of cake which was really good. Although we could smell them making some good looking toasts.

Kaffeemitte, ou un avis qui serait partagé entre 3 et 4 étoiles.
4 étoiles pour le lieu, charmant, un peu hype mais lumineux, plusieurs ambiances au sein même de ce café. Des tables hautes, des fauteuils autour de tables basses, les murs en béton et la déco épurée, j’ai vraiment bien aimé.
Plusieurs petites choses sont proposées à grignoter, brownies, cheese cakes, muffins et à boire, thé, café, limonades, cola local, c’est pas mal pour passer une aprem à bosser sur son ordi ou pour boire un café entre copines après du shopping dans le secteur.
La musique aussi est vraiment cool, elle évolue en fonction du temps, en fin d’après midi le volume augmente un peu et passé sur un son plus électro-​branchée, il n’y a vraiment qu’à Berlin qu’on trouve de la bonne musique partout.
3 étoiles pour le service qui est plutôt expéditif et pas vraiment courtois, même s’il y a du monde c’est pas non plus un Strabucks, le café perd en authenticité et c’est dommage. 3 étoiles pour les prix qui sont un peu abusés pour Berlin. (2 € 50 la petite part de Brownie, sérieusement?)
Ils proposent aussi des brunchs et des petits dejs plus conséquents mais je n’ai pas testé encore. Avec toi?

Good but expansive and a bit expansive for the price.

Origineller Laden mit großem Zustrom, als wir dort gestern gefrühstückt haben. Ich find’s irgendwie sympathisch, wenn die kleine Küche «vom Frontend» einsehbar ist und dort, während wir das große Frühstück mit Käse, Wurst und Ei hatten, schon fleißig Pasta für den Mittagstisch gekocht wird. Auch sehr sympathisches Personal, wenngleich der Laden im wesentlichen auf Selbstbedienung basiert.

Wirklich sympathischer Läden mit sehr netter Bedienung. Essen sah auch sehr gut aus, habe ich aber nicht probiert. Mag auch das schlichte Design, ist aber vielleicht nicht jedermanns Sache.

Wonderful eatery. The sandwiches and coffee are amazing. Great desert. Watch for well dressed people trying to steal your phones from the outdoor seating areas. The lines and the wait can be long (hence the 4 stars) but the food gets 5 stars :)

Laden hat eine gute Lage und ist immer gut besucht. Wartezeiten bei der Bestellung einplanen. Kaffee ist gut und Speisen sind schmackhaft-​wenn auch überteuert.Aber die Leute kaufen es ja. Grösstes Manko für mich sind die teilweise unhygienische Zubereitung von eher studentisch wirkenden Angestellten in der offenen Küche.Je mehr Andrang umso schmuddeliger wirkt der Bereich. Alles wird mit den Händen angefasst. Erst unter den Armen gekratzt und dann den Salat auf den Teller gepackt. Nicht lecker.

Good coffee, nice location, but poor service. When my girlfriend and I ordered, the guy who took the order looked positively annoyed at our simple order of an espresso and a cappuchino. The espresso was great, but when we went back to order more, the dude’s attitude was even worse. It was like he felt too cool to offer proper service.
I was disappointed after reading all these positive reviews, and will probably not return.

Den Bewertungen nach hat sich das gut angehört. Daher gleich mal hin und testen. Naja der Kommerz hat stark Einzug gehalten. Da wird man als Gast so richtig abgefertigt. Setzt dich hin um irgendwann zu merken, dass es sich wohl um ein Selbstbedienungs-​Restaurant handelt. Nun den halt, wollte das ja testen also Augen zu und durch. Mit einem Vibrator wird dir mitgeteilt, dass du nun das Essen an der Theke selber abholen darfst. Das Essen ist nun wahrlich nix besonderes. Und die Lage? Läääääääärmig an der Strasse. Für die 10 Wespen die sich mit mir gesellten können die zwar nichts dagegen unternommen wird aber auch nix. Nun gut Test leider nicht bestanden. Mich seht ihr nicht mehr…

Berlin is full of notable, hip cafes, and Kaffeemitte is one of them.
I wandered in one morning in search of working Wi-​Fi and was really impressed with their drinks and atmosphere. They also have a small selection of sandwiches, salads, and pastries. There were plenty of people reading, talking, and being lovebird-​y, so it’s definitely a comfortable environment.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here, but it was nice to have it near the hostel where I was staying.

Kein Berlinbesuch ohne ein Frühstück oder Snack im Kaffee Mitte. Ich mag hier einfach alles: Von der Einrichtung, dem Kaffee, der Bedienung bis zur riesigen Kuchenauswahl.
Genau das richtige Ort um mit einem strammen Max oder einem Snack in den Tag zu starten.
Was ich auch mag: das kostenlose stille Wasser. Auch mal fancy mit Tomate-​Basilikum ;)

Maybe its good for coffee N beead.
My friend liked their choco bread not sure with name. Was enough chocolate and was REALLY sweet.
For me was too sweet but chocolate lover would love it.
But pasta was so bad. I totally wasted my money.

Leider ein völliger Frühstücks-​Reinfall :(
Das große Frühstück für 2 Personen unterscheidet sich nicht wirklich von dem für 1. Der kleine Obstsalat war einfach in nem größeren Schälchen, aber gleicher Inhalt.
Butter bekommt man nur auf Nachfrage, das Brot war mindestens vom Tag vorher um 11:30 gab’s nur noch Weißmehl Brötchen. Der Service ist sosolala.
Also da gibt es viele bessere Locations in der Gegend.
Da geh ich bestimmt nicht nochmal hin :(

5 Sterne für die Snacks und Kuchen, die sind super.
4 Sterne für Lage, Ausstattung usw.; ist ok, liegt schön im Einkaufsviertel, dafür aber auch meist sehr gut besucht…
3 Sterne — leider — für den Kaffee. Der Espresso ist leider schlecht, und der ist nun mal die Basis für Cappucino, Latte & Co. Schade.

Brioche. Cappuccino. Unendlich viele Touristen. Pasta e Pesto et al. Italien in Berlin mit Kaffee e Café. Preislich der klassische Berliner Wahnsinn. Nicht so kühl wie seine Schwester ein paar Meter weiter und im Sommer wirklich voll. Immer mal wieder gute Veranstaltungen.

Never again. While their food is very good, it’s expensive, and their wifi is terrible.

My greek salad was great. The service was terrible. The woman behind the counter was so rude. Doesn’t really make me want to go back there.

I absolutely love this café. I stayed in an apartment across the street and I saw a line of people out the door one day and I thought, wow I’ve got to try this place. There are lots of great cafes and restaurants in the Mitte neighborhood, but this place I will definitely return to when I go back to Berlin.
Everything I had to eat was well prepared and delicious, the only problem for me is that they don’t take credit cards, I wish they would fix that and then I would have eaten there everyday.

Alles schön, alles gut, fast alles toll — gehört zu meinen Lieblingsläden in Mitte.

Miss this place. I lived around the corner from Kaffeemitte for a few months and went here nearly every morning when walking the dog (he loved it too).
They’re a great place to have breakfast, lunch, or just grab a coffee to go. They have high-​quality food that’s a mix of standard café fare and German and Italian cuisine.
It can get crowded at times and their internet connection is great for a quick email check but don’t expect to be able to work from the café for any length of time.
Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Typisches Mitte-​Kaffee in dem alle Hipster Klischees erfüllt werden. Allerdings ist die Auswahl an Getränken und Speisen 1A! Besonders die Paninis sind zu empfehlen. Habe selten so ein gutes Roasbeef Sandwich gegessen. Auch wenn es etwas überteuert ist, komme ich sehr gerne wieder hier her.

Kaffeetrinken ist dort ein Genuss. Kaffeelatte oder Cappuccino alles ist mögl.

Great Coffee place not too far from Alanderplatz. Nice lunch selection and warm and inviting place to rest awhile you down a Latte.
I seem to head back here all the time, now for a sample or those delicious looking treats.

Mittig, mittig, mittig! Tolles Café für alle Trendschnüffler. Klar, der Lage geschuldet, treibt es alle
Trendies, Touris und sonstige Fashionwahnsinnteilnehmer in diese Location. Zum Ausspannen vom Shoppen gerade richtig. Cappuccino genießen und beobachten. Und: einen super leckeren Kuchen dazu essen. Also los geht’s: Shoppen, shoppen und dann relaxen.

Achtung. Der Name Kaffee ist etwas irreführend. Die location hat nix mit einem Kaffeehaus im herkömmlichen (österreich/​deutschen) Sinne zu tun. Es handelt sich viel mehr um eine italienische Einrichtung. Trotzdem: Geniale location für italienisches Frühstück. Si Si. :) Habe ein panino mit schinken & mozzarella gegessen, dazu einen Latte Macciatto. Selbstbedienung. Interessantes Ambiente (Beton-​Baustellenlook) Komme trotzdem sicher wieder! Daumen hoch :)

If you are looking for a coffee shop in Berlin (or the world) to really ENJOY in its truest sense… Kaffeemitte is the place for you. A place to sit for awhile. To read, to chat, to hang. To watch the people strolling around Mitte in their Berlin fashion finest. To be in the fray of the ubran pulse, but slightly removed with your cappucino. The world will whiz by… but you are perched in a seat, comfortably deciphering your next move. Or not.
Of course, if you must work… there is wifi.
And of course, if you must run… you can have it to go.
But Kaffeemitte is the coffeeshop where you wish to stay awhile. To sink in, and enjoy. ENOY!

Excellent atmosphere, reasonable prices and the service is friendly and helpful. We visited Berlin this Summer and made a point to visit Kaffemitte after reading reviews and getting recommendations from friends who’d visited in the past. We glad we went and recommend it to everyone in the area.

It is always so crowd and you probably have to queue up to get the drinks and cakes. I really like the drinks they offer, it is tasty and of fair price. Next time I am gonna to try out their pasta or breakfast.

Having gone by here everyday before and after work, I finally decided to drop in and check the café out myself. I must say that the interior is very nice and cosy, but also minimalistic, not what I expected. The staff was also very nice and the prices ok for it being in Mitte. The chocolate croissant I had was absoluetly delicious and now I will have to fight hard, to not go in there all the time and grap one…
So, a nice café, with a nice interior that I will be visiting again either to drink coffee or have lunch or to get something to go.

Can’t really complain about this place, other then it wasn’t that friendly of space. People seemed grumpy. The coffee was good though. so that is what matters right?

Very good coffee (i think the best in town) and original Italian croissants (plain, apricot jam or crema)! More space outside than inside.

Kaffeemitte steht, wie es der Name erahnt, für:“Kaffee bitte” und nicht wie man es in Mitte öfters zu hören bekommt: «Ich bekomme einen Kaffee».
Denn hier gehst du an den stylischen Tresen und bestellst dir «Sprint» Kaffee, so ihre empfohlene Hausmarke und erfreust dich an dem für Mitte keine Seltenheit, unterkühlten Personal.
Vielleicht lag es ja auch an der Mittags– Tagesform, schließlich wird das Kaffeemitte von einer italienischen Familie aus Umbrien geführt und die haben ja bekanntlich zwischen 13– 15 Uhr Siesta. Also einfach nach 15 Uhr vorbei gehen oder halt davor.
Besonders zu empfehlen sind die Foccacia‘s, Ciabatta‘s und Toasts, die werden originalgetreu wie in Italien zubereitet.
Kurz, sie sind schön feucht, wegen ausreichend Pesto oder gebratenen Gemüse, dass wo wir Deutschen immer sehr sparsam mit sind.

Italienisches Kaffee Highlight inmitten «Mitte-​Statisten»
Dieses puristisch eingerichtete, fast unfertig kahl wirkende Highlight für die Kaffee-​trinkende Mitteszene hat sich innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu einem der Treffpunkte im Ostteil von Berlins Mitte gemausert. Hier findet man keinerlei Schnickschnack wie Karamell — Sirup oder merkwürdige Variationen des schwarzen Goldes — nein, puren italienischen Kaffee. Eine große Auswahl an leckeren Kuchen, erstklassigen italienischen Snacks und Speisen runden das Angebot ab. Der Service ist eher unkonventionell; manchmal auch ein wenig ruppig, aber liebenswert. Das Publikum — ein guter Mix aus top-​gestylten Mitte-​Statisten, Normalos und internationalen Touristen — genießt zumeist den Aussenbereich des Cafés nach dem Motto «sehen und gesehen werden» und bereitet sich mental auf weitere Streifzüge durch zahlreiche Boutiquen, Flaggship Stores und Galerien rund um die Weinmeisterstraße und das Kaffee Mitte vor. Einfach nur Kaffee trinken geht aber ebenso gut als auch Public Viewing zu den altbekannten Events. Daumen hoch — ein Konzept hat sich durchgesetzt!

Der perfekte Ort um zwischen einem Shopping Wahn rund um die Alte Schönhauser mal ein Päuschen zu machen.
Hier im Kaffeemitte kehre ich des öfteren mal ein und genehmige mir neben meinem Latte noch ein Stück American Cheese Cake!
Der Name gibt dem Laden alle Ehre halt typisches Mitte Folk hier.
Wlan gibt es glaube ich auch.
Ich mag eigentlich nicht so gerne Cafés mit Selbstbedienung und hier nervt mich auch ein bisschen das die Barleute dir nicht mal deinen Kaffee an den Tisch bringen wenn Du direkt neben der Theke sitzt und eh schon relativ lange auf Dein Getränk warten musstest.
Das könnte hier wirklich optimiert werden, aber im großen und ganzen mag ich es hier. Kuchen ist lecker und auch die anderen Snacks die es hier so gibt. Bei schönem Wetter kann man auch super draußen sitzen.

Kind of a disappointment this place. Went in today as it seemed quite exciting from outside and we had walked by many times. From the design it is quite nice but service is horrible. I saw them basically screw up each order from the people who ordered ahead of me. Then they also screwed up our order, giving us something different from what we ordered. Once we were seated you could also see the staff was not really happy to work with one another and the guy in back making sandwiches was clearly not happy about his job. I guess if you need to grab a quick coffee to go a good place to stop in. The cake also seemed appealing but we didn’t stick around to try it out as the place was also cold. Everything is concrete and they could turn the heat up a bit. On a positive note, if you need wireless LAN, the Telekom store next door has one and it reaches into the café.

This is a beautiful place right in the centre of the shopping district of Mitte. I happened upon Kaffeemitte today after having done a bit of shopping. I felt like something sweet they had the prefect thing for me too. I ordered a slice of the Cheesecake which was delicious. The crust was buttery and super flavourful and the filling bit was a nice balance between Ricotta cheese and sour crème. Just perfect!
