Bäckerei Zöttl

Was mir an dieser Filiale am besten gefällt kann ich gar nicht sagen. Die Auswahl und die Qualität der Produkte sind ganz nach meinem Geschmack. Mein Geheimtipp sind die Sahnerollen. Das Personal ist freundlich und die Atmosphäre familiär. Seit dem die neue Kaffeemaschine (Siebträger) im Einsatz ist gibt es auch noch erstklassigen Cappuccino und Latte Macchiato. Ich denke es ist das Gesamtpaket das diese Filiale ausmacht. Das Preis/​Leistungsverhältnis ist hier gegeben. Die Bäckerei ZÖTTL ist, nach vielen Tests in anderen Bäckerei Ketten der Stadt, die beste in München und die Filiale in der Waltherstraße im besonderen.

Great bread and top notch cakes too. Everything was fresh, no matter if I happened to stop by at 9am or 4pm. These Germans certainly do take their baked goods seriously and it shows at Zottl.

Ok, to my American friends… this probably seems like a really cool, unique place and hell… that «oomlot» over the «o» makes it seem very authentic.
In fact this is somewhat of a local chain bakery with coffee. Who cares?! I like it!
This is around the corner from my office, and they are always very kind to me, provide me with «filter kaffee» until they run out in the afternoon, and when they run out the guy makes me a close substitute (espresso and water). And, they don’t make me feel bad about my poor German. Plus, they have millions of pretzels, pastries, etc. Really, the carbohydrate production in this country is amazing. I’m in heaven!
It’s nothing out of this world in terms of the offerings, but I’ve been there enough times to really appreciate the convenience and the very friendly staff. If I were able to consume carbs all day long every day without consequence I’d inquire into some of the other delicacies, but am usually just in for a spot of caffeine to carry me through my day.
A large one! Well, the largest they have in Germany which is roughly a 12oz. «Filter Kaffee» is not that popular here as almost all of these corner shops have quick espresso drink machines… there you have it.
So for a special treat I pick up my rice pudding with chocolate from the grocery attached (what will I do back in the States, I’m obsessed!), grab my coffee and head back to the office. A match made in heaven, and I’m pleased to have such a friendly shop so closeby to get my daily fix on the go!

Der Bäcker ums Büro ist in der Regel wichtig und man kann sich glücklich schätzen, wenn er einigermaßen gut ist. Oft genug ist er die schnelle Lösung, wenn die Mittagspause mal kürzer ausfällt.
Die Zöttl-​Filiale profitiert stark von dem Metzger und dem kleinen Supermarkt, die sich hier zusammengeschlossen haben. Durch die 3 ist die Auswahl gut, der Bäcker alleine hat jetzt aber nicht so viel zu bieten und ist preislich eher oben angesiedelt.
Die Verkäuferinnen und Verkäufer sind aber wirklich ausnahmslos und stets freundlich, was morgens auch ziemlich wichtig sein kann.
Fazit: Ist es um die Ecke, braucht man sich nicht zu beschweren. Auf Besonderheiten wartet man aber vergebens.

Diese Zöttl Filiale ist direkt um die Ecke bei mir. Es soll mich keiner falsch verstehen, aber ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich hier so oft wäre, wenn ich nicht in der Nähe arbeiten würde.
Also, wenn ich schon keine Großbäcker mag, was zieht mich dann hin?
Zum einen gibt es einen ganz brauchbaren Kaffee und zum anderen sind die Brezn ganz gut (die Butter Brezel kostet allerdings 1,40 €, uff).
Ansonsten finde ich die Auswahl, insbesondere an süßen Teilchen eher bescheiden.
