We ordered Jo-Joe’s as pick-​up/​take-​out to share with our friends — based on their recommendation. All four of us were very disappointed on everything we received aside from the garlic bread which was «thrown-​in» as a «sorry for waiting» (which is always appreciated!).
The waiting was due to Jo-Joe’s forgetting the ribs. I’ve never ordered ribs from a pizza joint, but our friend raved about them. What we waited for and received was literally bones in soupy sauce. There wasn’t any meat on the whole order. The chicken pizza was dry and flavorless. We ordered extra spice because previously the pizza wasn’t spicy enough for our friend. What we received was what appeared a dumped container of chili flakes on the pizza. I found it inedible, but the boys were able to get it down (with hiccups from the spiciness).
I am very glad that they threw in the garlic bread because that’s all I ended up enjoying. While our friends, who are regulars here, couldn’t believe how bad the pizza was, makes me wonder if this was an off-​night?
