After a long and painful investigation — involving tasting bad crepes — one of the original four frogs, founders of the famous Mosman and Randwick places, has been found. And I beleive that he was the key element to their success because is now officially the best crêpe place in Sydney. If you don’t agree, I dare you to voice your opinion. I even double-dare you in the words of Samuel Lee Jackson. The most famous savoury crêpe — also called galette — is a what the French call a «complète» aka a full galette with egg, ham and Swiss cheese. Not bacon, ham. The subtle yet ubiquitous flavour of buckwheat is masterfully, even magically, blended into every galette and harmony is reached(with every combination of ingredient you can imagine, not just a complete). The crispiness of the galette, its gently burnt edge to contrast with the softer moist centre, is the setting for a swirl of flavours: the richness of the egg yolk, the jelliness of the white, the softness ripped threads of bacon, held together with tasty molten Swiss cheese. The occasional black pepper surprise or rock salt crunch bring a final touch to this masterpiece. Even duck fat could not make this any better! The real question is: what are you still doing home?

The fancy lights and the interesting menu lured me in a few days ago and I was very, very pleasantly surprised. I’m usually not a fan of crepes due to my general dislike of sweets and my mental association between the two. But I tried the egg and pancetta crêpe and couldn’t get over how good it was. Freshly made and delicious. Unfortunately for my wallet(and my waistline), I live up the road.

New creperie in Bondi Beach is just incredible. Best atmosphere, great staff and service, the coffee is also the best around. I highly recommend the juices. I had the elixir which has grapefruit, pomegranate and blood orange, just amazing. In terms of the food is just like nothing around. Crepes are made fresh in the bar and they are just like in France. Recommend the prosciutto one. Definitely a must!
