As a person on a tight budget, I can’t afford to see a ‘normal’ dentist. Luckily, the School of Dentistry exists so that I can get my teeth checked and still have this beautiful smile ;).
The staff there were really friendly at reception and over the phone (you can also make an appointment via email if you’re anxious about phone calls). The student who looked at my mouth was professional, friendly and explained what they were doing. Their teacher/​supervisor who double checked was also lovely.
From memory, it was free because I had a health care card, which was amazing! It was only a check up though and there are different prices for different procedures.
If your budget is tight, or you want to give some student dentists some practise, give them a ring :).
