Peter Alexander has become synonymous with fancy-​pants PJs in Australia and while you might think it’s all hype, I’ve come to believe that it’s the place to go for comfortable and high quality sleep and lounge wear that lasts. I had a favourite set of lounge pants that I bought from Peter Alexander over five years ago and they have been worn to death and finally retired after the ribbon waist tie stitching started to come undone. The fabric on the actual pants was still in great condition and had I been a handier person I might have just replaced the waist tie rather than investing in a new pair.
The staff are always super helpful and they’re willing to help you with refunds and exchanges in store if you’ve purchased online.
Pro tip: Wait for their epic sales if you want to save some cash.

Everyone remembers their first pair of Peter Alexander PJ’s. I got mine way back in the day when it was still a small company and you could only order over the phone, so it’s pretty fantastic to see this tiny but special company have stores all over Melbourne.
If you are a girly girl or a man that doesn’t mind the finer things in life then Peter Alexander is for you. You will find gorgeous silk nighties, kitschy onesies and even a wide variety of decadent underwear.
But Peter Alexander doesn’t just do PJ’s anymore, you can also find beauty products, accessories such as gloves, scarves and bags and also warm, wooly cardigans to soothe your winter chills.
I highly recommend you stop by this Lygon street store the next you’re in the area, be looked after by the warm and friendly staff and simply appreciated how gorgeous everything is. You’ll easily be able to find a present for the girl/​guy who has everything. Undies with the days of the week on them? Yep!
