Stylish modern décor and comfortable lounges add further pluses to a solid tapas menu that won’t blow you away with originality, but is done well and still has a touch of the exotic. DiVino is also going by the classification of ‘Wine bar’, and while this can be a very loosely applied term in Newcastle, this place has about 20 offerings by the glass and boasts several options from France, Italy and Spain. Tapas seems to be the flavour of the month in Newcastle right now, and while further down the road Depot seems to be cashing in by offering less on the plate for ever higher prices, the crowds at DiVino are quietly swelling, and justifiably so.
