Myssy’s Seafood goes the extra mile with their interior decoration, eschewing the usual minimalism of suburban fish and chip shops and opting for tiled walls and decorations that create an under-the-sea vibe. Which is important: it teaches empathy for the fish you are about to consume. Or it’s just fun. It could be either of these reasons. I particularly recommend the calamari: fried to a golden brown perfection, these little circles are delicious over chips and some lemon sauce. Simple and classic. Even better, the store is open until 9pm nightly, so if you get home and your MasterChef mojo just isn’t flowing, you can pop out and avoid becoming malnourished.
