I had high hopes for this library. It is a brand new purpose built building in the Floreat Shopping Centre, but they missed the opportunity to make this place brilliant.
It isn’t a particularly big library, much smaller than the Joondalup one. They have a small, pretty unexciting kids section, although they have a nice selection of books. There are some study desks on the outside of the book shelves. But not a lot and only a couple of them have access to power points. Hello! What were you thinking people. Everyone now has a laptop, tablet or smartphone and use them to study. They do need to be recharged. There was not a lot of computer terminals for general use either. There is a great reading room, with lots of comfy chairs, quiet and tea/​coffee making facilities. The staff are super friendly and helpful.
