The workshops here are excellent — if you’re entertaining a group of overseas visitors, be sure to book them in! Also great fun for a browse.

We came here at the desire of a musically inclined member of the group I was travelling with. Not only did the staff member take the time to explain everything to us, he also gave our friend a tutorial and gave her an opportunity to play. This place wasn’t just a shop, it was an experience.

If you are a tourist straight off the Fremantle line, one of first shops you see in Freo will be Didgeridoo Breath. And that’s good cause it is a beauty. They stock everything you could ever imagine relating to didgeridoo and more. From authentic eucalyptus didgeridoos of all sizes, to Indigenous artwork, boomerangs and other authentically Australian indigenous devices. I particularly like the contraption that is meant to keep spirits at bay by producing a huge racket. I think my neighbours don’t appreciate it as much however. They even run didgeridoo classes and act as a sort of a hub for local didgeridoo lovers and player. More so than any other place I know of, this shop just feels as a hangout spot where people who are into Indigenous Uatralian culture hang out and share ideas, stories and experiences. If you are looking for something along those lines, or you just wanna see a didgeridoo or a boomerang of every imaginable size, you can’t miss this place.
