I love this restaurant. The food is great and the atmosphere is quaint and the price is fantastic!!! They used to be in a really small little pokey place that only seated around 10 – 12 people. I would normally just pick up takeaway. But now they have moved to a new location around the corner facing Springvale road a couple doors down from the Discount Chemist. Much more modern setting, but the parking is a bit of a pain as you compete with The Glen shoppers for spots. But well worth the effort. My favourite dish is the Chicken Pad Thai. It has lovely light flavours and the chilli oil and crunchy onion condiments just top this off perfectly. It’s a big portion, only costs $ 10 and I have it for two meals!!! The staff is quiet, but very polite. Great for sit in or takeaway!

If you are looking for a cheap but tasty feed, you can’t go wrong with Thai Yim. It’s a fairly recently established restaurant which used to be located beside the train station in Glen Waverley, but they’ve recently moved to a shop right on Springvale road. The food is excellent, especially for the money. $ 12 for most of the mains(or $ 16 if you want duck, prawns or seafood) is excellent value for money, especially with the large servings that they provide. My favourite is the beef penang curry. Really fresh flavours, warm but not something that will make you breathe fire. The Krapao fried rice is pretty darn good too, it’s like fried rice with chilli and basil. Their website allows you to order online, and they do deliveries to the local area. For the money, you won’t go wrong.

I love this little thai place. There is certainly no shortage of thai places in Melbourne, but finding one to go back to over and over again can be difficult. This is that place for me. I first started going here when it opened in 2007, and since then it has gone from strength to strength, even opening up in a bigger, more central location on Springvale Rd. The food is fantastic, and the prices are really good. I particularly love their satay vegetable stir fry with chicken, and their green chicken curry. Possibly the best thing about this place is that they deliver, which is awesome for those nights you just can’t be bothered cooking. And lets face it, sometimes going out to pick food up is almost as much work as cooking something.
