Very unprofessional, 30 minutes for a latte, 45+ for my over cooked poached eggs, scrimply sauced and spinach less eggs benedict. We had asked twice if there was any reason for the delay, was told they were making it and would be shortly with us. Saw 3 tables order, get coffee & food orders before we had ours. And as a last error to everything else, they forgot my hash brown order. This place has seriously lost it snap since the ownership change. Will doubt I will be going back there any time this year or the next. Just left felling annoyed, ignored and over looked.

What a beautiful location! So close to the beach and in the centre Glenelg’s gorgeous jetty/foreshore night life. My sister was visting from NZ and my Dad from Melbourne so I took them to Glenelg for dinner. After having a wander and deciding we each felt like pasta we settled on Crema. The weather was a perfect 24 degrees so we sat outside which would have been perfect was it not for the noise(which can’t be helped by the restaurant). We ate a traditional pork and veal bolognaise, a creamy risotto with brocolli, pine nuts, etc., a penne dish with avocado, apricot, mushrooms and chicken and shared a plate of cheesey garlic bread. Every one of the dishes was really yummy. I sampled Dad’s and Sandy’s and would certainly order them for myself. The garlic bread wasn’t the most extraordinary dish, but I had eaten the most amazing bread the day before(see my review) so any other garlic bread was likely to fall short. A really great thing about Crema is the option to order most dishes in entrée or main sizes($ 16-$ 40). A great option for a family like mine who eat small amounts but like to share. The downsides: Definitely the noise unfortunately. Also, there is no table service — If I’m dining out I like the whole experience. Staff kept making order delivery orders so once every few minutes we were approched by a server bringing us the wrong meal. It wasn’t the most annoying thing, but it was an interruption. We also wantes Tapas, but at $ 5.50 per item we couldn’t rationalise the spending.

YUMYUMINMYTUM! Walking into to Crema on Jetty Road, it seems like any other Jetty Road Café, and I don’t blame you for thinking that. The décor is nothing special, and the staff are sometimes unable to clear tables. but the food here is the best, they have Wood Oven Pizza and«All Day» breakfast. Hell Yeah! One thing you should know about me is that I’m a connoisseur of fine risottos. I love em’, I’ve got a problem… If there is a risotto on the menu I have to try it, and more often than not, I always end up bitterly disappointed. This is where Crema stands out from the rest, I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad risotto here, and that’s why it gets five stars. :) The prices are pretty good, and the rest of the menu looks delicious. One point of note! It does get very cold and wet down in Glenelg during the winter months, which sucks as the outdoor area during summer is brilliant. So rug up, grab your brollie and check out Crema, next time your on Jetty Road.

I was exceedingly happy to be able to grab a breakfast meal at 1pm on a Saturday after other nearby cafes and restaurants told us that«no one was serving breakfast at this time of day!» FOOLS! Ordering the ‘chef’s special breakfast stack’ was a brilliant decision! The dish featured steak, potato fritta, bacon, spinach, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce — all surrounded by crunchy little croutons! It was delicious… maybe toast rather than the potato at the bottom would have worked better but really rather delish! I have heard many great things from a co-worker about this place so will have to return to try more of the menu — although, knowing me i’ll probably order the same thing again because I believe that once you find something good, you may as well stick with it!

There is nothing extraordinary about their menu. Or their Jetty Rd location shared by dozens of other restaurants and cafes. Or their décor or waiter service. And the store itself is a little cramped and the tables are squished far too close together for it to be comfortable. However, despite all of this, the sole reason I keep coming back to Crema again and again is their AMAZING garlic bread which, in the history of all the garlic bread I have ever tried, comes first. First of all it is pretty cheap at around $ 5.00. It comes with three large pieces, dripping in the most amazing garlic butter. You cannot say you have had good garlic bread until you bit into it and the sauce is so oily and runny it drips down your fingers. Of course by all means order other food, the pizza looks quite good and there are some really yummy sounding mains(although a tad expensive) but make sure order garlic bread! You will not be disappointed and I hope, like me, you will sing the praises of Crema garlic bread to the world.

This is a nice café to visit when you’ve had a frolicking day on the beach. An interesting aspect of this establishment is that they cater toward people with Coeliac disease(unable to digest to gluten). Thus they assure the entire menu is 99% gluten free. As well as that everything in the damn place seems to be gluten free including the beer, the tables, and even the staff haven’t have a ‘glute’ in their entire life. Jokes aside, the staff are well-versed in understanding and catering too people who have this disorder. The wood-fire pizza is delightful and crispy. The menus in a whole has a wide variety of Mediterranean and modern Australian foods that looks delicious and healthy. The outdoor setting gives a fantastic view of the jetty and beach. As well as being in the vibrant Mosley Square.

There are a few different cafes to select from when stopping along Jetty Road at Glenelg Beach, one of which is Crema. I would rate Crema quite highly and it is probably your best option when walking down this particular strip. Although rather new on the scene, my friends and family have(as already implied) made Crema our first choice when choosing a café at Glenelg. And so far, so good. The gelati is amazing– the cookies and cream is especially divine. The wedges are also top notch, and they do platters with dips for a reasonable price. Their main courses are consistently tasty, and everything is well presented. There is sufficient seating indoors, and then also outdoor tables and chairs. On busy summer weekends scoring a table may prove difficult however that is to be expected at Glenelg. Prices are reasonable and you get what you paid for in terms of quality. There is also sufficient purer water available for free. Nice to see that they are looking after their customers.
