Stayed last night in this lovingly restored 1908 railway carriage on a mini-​farm property tucked away in Hazelmere. Enjoyed waking up in the comfy double bed looking at the graceful curved wooden ceiling with morning light filtering in through vintage stained glass. Lovely!
The carriage is self-​contained with a double bed and up to two single beds, a bathroom with eco-​friendly composting toilet, and galley style kitchen. The place is kitted out with lovely vintage furniture and fabrics. Hosts Peter and Debra are very kind and accommodating and lay on lots of lovely touches such as fresh flowers and produce from the property — amazingly tasty free range eggs! Close to the airport and Swan Valley this place is highly recommended!
