I guess I’m comparing it too harshly to some of the other shopping centre pizza places around – I’m thinking of Karrinyup’s Sarpino’s Pizzeria and others – but Pizza Point doesn’t really do it for me. Its being smack-bang in the centre of the Whitford City Westfield food court probably doesn’t help its cause: unlike Sarpino’s, which opens out onto an outdoor eating area, Pizza Point opens out onto… Well, actually, it doesn’t open out onto anything. If it did, it would open out onto more food court. As it is, it’s just a pizza bar surrounded by people eating KFC and McDonalds. The food is good, but it’s nothing spectacular, and the simple fact of the matter is that ordering and eating there is the fastest way of ensuring the onset of claustrophobia. The food court has many better options.
