Dial-a-Meal is your best chance of getting a meal delivered in Hobart. The minimum meal spend is $ 30, plus at least $ 7.50 for delivery, so it’s not cheap… but sometimes it’s just so cold out and you’re already in your pyjamas and you just need someone to save(read: feed) you. Order over the phone or via the website(I can vouch for both; the fun of the website is that it remembers your delivery details) and within an hour(it’s not a quick process, unfortunately) a magical knock at the door. I’ve tried a couple of the different restaurants available for delivery, and I’m happy to report that Fish Frenzy still manages to be warm when delivered. Dumpling World is consistently classic. I don’t really rate the Italian or Chinese restaurants on offer but when you need something delivered and it has to be that, I guess you’d better stick to your guns. The Indian restaurant is OK(it’s not my go-to but my go-to doesn’t deliver, so what are you gonna do?). When I’m desperate enough for delivery, I’m happy to turn to Dial-a-Meal. Please bring those dumplings to me, I need to be just a little more pathetic than I already feel right now… and yet, with great gusto!
