Esca Bar & Bistro

Six of us dined at this Reastruant last night and had a great meal. The name has changed to «esca» and with this change comes a significant improvement in both service and food. The Snapper dish was particularly well done with a very interesting vegetable combination. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back. Came across this place by chance as the Story Bridge Hotel was over-​crowded and people were walking out after waiting an hour to be served. What a fortuitous turn of events as had we been seated at Story Bridge we may never have discovered Garnish.
French inspired, this hidden gem in Kangaroo Point had me talking for a days about the citrus infused duck and incredibly tender, perfectly cooked steak. The service was a little slow at times but the atmosphere was quite relaxed and we were just happy to be seated and drinking some nice wine so it didn’t bother us too much.
Our meals arrived promptly and were very generous (uncharacteristic of many french meals I have had recently) — My partner and I were fighting over particular morsels for the duration of our feast and I think this is a testament to how tasty each aspect of our meals were.
We will definitely be returning here!
