Terrible service, the older lady who served the table has an attitude. Very limited menu choice overall. It will be my first and last visit to this café. If it wasn’t for public holiday during Christmas, I would have picked other café! Very disappointing and I will never go back.

They’ve just had a bit of a refresh. Y’know, put nice wooden bits on the counter and all that stuff. But the food has also had a refresh and it’s GREAT! Had eggs benedict but with miso hollandaise and eggplant and soft eggs. Ugggghhhh. It was so good. And they have Campos coffee, so y’all coffee snobs will be happy too. Go here, it’s great.

A quieter coffee shop about 100m from the railway station, ever decreasing selection of found, but coffee seems to be consistently good. Shop is trying to innovate work a newly introduced ‘drive by’service in which you phone through your order and they deliver to your car as you pull up outside the shop.

This is a nice, quiet, little place just off the main road in Kirribilli, a short walk from the station. The café has a nice casual feel to, distinct from the other cafes in the area. Look for the amusingly bad puns and jokes around the café, they are sure to get a groan or two. The coffee was reasonable(Campos), the food also quiet good(lemon curd on pancakes is always a good mix), the service is fast and and… fairly professional, I guess I would describe it, but not really warm and friendly. I’ll go back :)

Just down the road from the main strip of Kirribili is a small pink café called Cool Mac. When you walk in you are caught firstly by the smooth jazz tunes and melodic voice of Bing Crosby. All the bread on the menu is from Sonoma — the Artisan Sourdough Bakers which means there’s no gluten free option however there is a good selection of salads. The Japanese influence comes across here with the Japanese Smoked Salmon Style Salad($ 16). As my salad arrived Blueberry Hill cranked up and I drifted off to a sunny hillside where the mockingbirds sing and the sweethearts swoon. Other menu picks are Pâté de Atum(Brasilian Tuna Salad Mix) Sandwich($ 8.80) and Toast with Ricotta and Organic Lemon Curd($ 5.8) and Organic Banana Bread with Raspberries and Macadamias($ 6.20). Décor wise original paintings, a bamboo pot plant and a montage of small personal photographs of Japan litter the wall. On the black roof there Dad jokes like«What do you call Bob the Builder after her retires?» are scrawled. With the Japanese Australian owners influence this is a fun café to have a quick coffee with girlfriends or a very casual lunch. My salad portion was small but then I had rode my bike there and was perhaps in need of more sustenance. It’s a good sign when you visit a new place and every one that enters is a local and chats to the owner. PS. The Dad joke answer(in case you’re still guessing) is Bob. Haha. :| ;)
