Stopped in here 2 days in a row while we were honeymooning in Tasmania. The place has a nice layout and ambiance and seemed quite popular with locals and the people working in the nearby offices. The food selection is limited being a small café but the food we had, pumpkin pancakes, rice pudding with plums and pistachio, eggs on toast and breakfast burrito were all very tasty. They seemed to have run out of things on the menu both days, no burritos day 1 and no kale day 2 but no big deal. The coffee was a little average unfortunately. I had a piccolo on day 1 which was good but the flat white I had on day 2 was watery and a bit bitter and not very hot. Service was friendly. Worth a visit of you are in Launceston.

Great service. Convenient location and business hours. Reasonably priced. 3-legged stools are kitchy but don’t take both feet off the ground as you will lose your balance!

Nice café, nice vibe — this café seems very popular with the locals and looking around the salads and food coming out of the kitchen were all looking good. I had a chicken sandwich and a coffee, the baguette was perfect and nicely toasted. Good soy latte too.

Popped into Inside for a breakfast/lunch before catching a flight back home to Melbourne after a wonderful weekend down in Tassie. The menu did not inspire me as much… I love good simple dishes like Eggs Benedict or anything with a big bunch of creamy avocado but neither those were on the menu. So I ordered the«Sweet Potato Pancake & Spiced Poached Eggs(Topped with mint yoghurt and paprika butter.). My friend ordered the mushroom dish. We waited… and waited… for quite a while. We were right near the kitchen window and could see into the kitchen — the entire time we were in the café a chef with a beard surfed the internet. I assume someone else was preparing the meals but could not see who from that angle. Did not inspire much in terms of professionalism. Finally the meals came out. My friends mushroom dish was delicious. Mine… when I cut into the eggs to let out the lovely flowing yolk pr0n, I found that they were hard. Fully hard inside. Now I hate complaining and sending food back but I did. The wait stuff were lovely and apologetic and took it away for me when I explained what the issue was. I then waited again for my meal to be ‘re-made’… Finally the re-made dish came out. Unfortunately the pancake in this dish was flat and tasted of burnt. There was not enough mint yoghurt to take away from the burnt taste(there previous pancake/yoghurt was fine). I sort of finished the meal best I could. Eggs were poached well(slightly under) but that was OK. Did not want to complain again — my friend had long finished his mushroom dish and we had a plane to catch. Really sad this was my last meal in Launceston. That dish needs some changes or refinements… or to be better cooked than that… it actually left a bad burnt sweet potato taste in my mouth for quite a while after… The shop next door is super cool though :)

Great café in the centre of Launceston. The breakfast menu has a great variety to choose from, and isn’t the standard«bacon & eggs on toast». I’ve only ever had breakfast here so can’t comment on the rest of the menu. The service is great and good arrives quickly and well presented. They do take away for the busy pop in coffee kick start, as well as fresh muffins etc.

This is a very spacious place for breakfast. Very interesting interior. The food was good as was the coffee. Not a huge selection but the hot cakes were very good. Kids had muffins and bebecinos so all were happy. Reasonable prices.
