The potato breakfast although lacking a great name was lovely. The skins on makes for a far tastier spud and their bacon was appropriately crispy and when I said soft poached, got soft poached. The winner is the spicy tomato relish at the bottom of the dish that reminds you of why your sitting in a café. Flavour!!! This brekky is so good I’ve not read one word of the paper since my first mouthful.

Searching for a new breakfast haunt in Manly we came across Keith’s, and with such a great view it was the perfect choice for a lovely Saturday morning. We only needed a quick look at the menu as we couldn’t go past the Lamb Breakfast — two lamb cutlets, poached eggs, grilled halloumi, rocket and parmesan. All I can say is wow. The lamb was perfectly cooked, the poached eggs deliciously oozy, the halloumi nice and thin and not squeaky, and the rocket was impeccably dressed with shavings of parmesan and red onion to top everything off. I would definitely recommend this dish for breakfast or brunch. We’ve already booked in for lunch next weekend so I’m hoping their seafood offerings are on par with the lamb.

I have been here once so far but it was a really enjoyable experience and I would go back for sure. The place itself is warm and inviting. The front of the restaurant has great harbour views while the back has beautiful lighting, cosy red chairs and impressive gold mirrors. It is a great place to go if you are looking for a quality meal, rather than takeaway chips like I normally do. They do not have a huge menu, something I actually like because it usually means they do the few items really well rather than a huge number of things to an average standard. Mains include salmon, risotto, chicken and sirloin steak. I tried the risotto and it was lovely, not dry or bland at all.

The first time I went to check out the menu at Keith’s On Cambridge I didn’t stay; I was looking for a quick lunch with friends, it was late and we weren’t prepared for the menu. The next time I was ready and it was lovely. At around $ 20 a meal for lunch and dinner(although the salmon at $ 28 is a bit much I think) and $ 15-$ 20 for a very scrummy breakfast, Keith’s is a great place to go. It is the pick of the Cambridge Parade places, because it has big windows overlooking the habour. The new décor is attractive and the staff member who served us was very friendly. We had sweet chilli prawns and a vege stack, which was luscious.
