Nyu Sakura in Marden is by far my favourite sushi store in Adelaide. Their sushi is always tight, cold, and fresh! Perfection indeed. The girls that work their are always very friendly too. This is also one of the only sushi stores that I’ve come across with an alcohol license. Buuuut the beverage I prefer from Nyu Sakura is definitely their rice teas.

Some days I just have to get my Sushi on, others I crave a kick-ass Seafood Laksa or some crazy little spring rolls with some Katsu-Don…with any of these I have one issue that normally hinders most of my Ninja-Samurai cravings. To put it bluntly I am one incredibly slack cat! Luckily for me, Sakura at Marden is really close to my folks place and I drive past there almost every day! I realise that Sakura is part of a chain of Sushi/Japanese restaurants that have sprung up around the place, but the quality really goes up and down depending on which one you go to. Marden is always on the money, and the Seafood Laksa scares me… It is just that good! Plus, it is really cheap. For under $ 15 you can have a good solid feed and leave feeling like one more bite would send you into a scene from ‘The Meaning of Life’! If you get there towards closing time you can also get half price Sushi Rolls, but be mindful, sometimes the rice is a bit crunchy by then!
