Have been looking for a good woodfired pizza takeout and L’anima was next on the list to try (after being disappointed by my other local woodfired restaurant). Unfortunately I was set to be disappointed again. While yes, they did have the higher quality toppings (e.g. leg ham rather than cheap shredded ham) the price was just too expensive for what you got. $ 18 for a large hawaiian with an average of only 1 or 2 pieces of pineapple per slice, and about 50% ham coverage. We also ordered margherita (they forgot the fresh basil) and a garlic foccacia. All three were on an extremely thin base that was cooked so thoroughly it was starting to burn and was as crispy as a pappadum. It was a very dry experience. Would not go back for the price.

Cosy and comfortable Italian pizzeria and restaurant. Great for coffee. The wood fired oven pizzas are only available for lunch Friday through Sunday but are absolutely fantastic.
