What horrible service! When we arrived there was only 2 other people in the restaurant, we were seated and left. Eventually our order was taken, our drinks came pretty quickly but the food took a while. Our food arrived and all was as we ordered. Then came the waiting game… The girls who had taken our order, gave us our food and drinks had disappeared! A new girl had started on the floor and was attentively serving every other table but ours. Growing impatient I made eye contact with her and attempted to call her over, she delivered the drinks to the other table then went merrily on her way cleaning the fences around the booths. Growing even more impatient I called out«can we get some service please» we were given an eye roll, another wipe of the fence and a slumped slow walk over to our table. I asked for a take away container for our pizza which was rebuffed with a «that’s 50 cents extra are you sure?», yes I was sure! Another eye roll and I had our container shoved at me. I put the pizza in the container and got ready to leave… I guess cleaning the fence was more important than a «are you done? Would you like the bill?» So we made our way to the front counter. Another eye roll from miss poor service and our bill was paid and we were out of there, only to think about ever returning to the place we once loved. **Edit: I was a bit harsh in my description of the waitress, this has been fixed.

We were given one recommendation for food when we arrived in Sydney, and it was to make our way to Pancakes On The Rocks. Fortunately, it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely phenomenal, and the pancakes exceeded my expectations. My friend ordered one of the famous pancake concoctions: chocolate pancakes with chocolate ice cream, cherries, and finished off with a chocolate drizzle. It was beyond decadent but not overly the top sweet. The pancakes were perfectly round, airy and fluffy on the inside. The cherries provided a crisp crunch, and the syrup was heavy but not overwhelming. I had the eggs benedict(served all day!) that included one buttermilk pancake, two poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, hash brown, and smoked ham. I have nothing but praises for the pancake as it was tall, thick, and fluffy. The hash brown was golden brown, crispy inside and out; if there was such a thing as too crispy, I’d argue that this hash brown may be just that. The smoked ham and poached eggs were just fine. Service was a little lacking. On the morning we arrived, we were served by a gentleman who seemed to be new as he needed training before he could ring us up for our breakfast. So my only complaint would be that while he was collecting our dishes and silverware, he dropped them which tumbled and sent chocolate bits flying every which way… and I was wearing a white scarf. No apologies nor a thank you as I helped him wipe up the mess. Ehh… The restaurant itself is a rather sizable establishment. It had seating for smaller parties in booths and banquet-like seating for larger parties. Located next to Outback.

We decended on this place for a going away lunch for a workmate. They coped really well with about 15 people all starving(including 1 pregnant woman who if you don’t feed regularly turns into a raving monster) — we all ordered 1 and a half plates each which meant that they had to stay on the ball! The waitress knew her stuff, she checked in on us regularly for drink top ups and how our food is. A+ for her enthusiasm, you don’t see this kind of service anywhere guys and gals! The 3 stars is basically because of the food. I got some nacho’s — which were listed as an entrée but were a feed in itself! There was meant to be some jalepeno’s in there, except mine was having a bit of a jalepeno infestation. Every second bite was burning me to death. And since I don’t really like being«that person that picks at their food» I ended up being that person anyway. Otherwise I heard the crapes went down a treat and the pancakes were delish. It’s rather big inside so there lots of seating room — it’s kind of like a huge barn with tables. They have booths for duo’s and threesomes. They have bigger tables for bigger groups. Ambience isn’t that great, but at least the pancakes are good!

I got violent food poisoning here from crème sauce that was off. I ordered chicken and mushroom crêpe. I will never enter this restaurant again. Disgusting. I give a warning to all their customers.
