Pasta Go Go

I’ve used pasta go go on those days you are too tired to cook. They serve big meals (in tiny boxes) and most of my meals have been exactly what you pay for, a nice quick cheap meal. The gnocchi is good for a fast food place. However the last time I visited I ordered a vegetarian gnocchi and when I got home I found I was eating beef!!! After a night of no sleep in hospital waiting in an emergency all I wanted was to relax and enjoy a meal after 24 hours of not eating. Instead this vegetarian of 25 years was met with beef in her meal. I don’t remember the taste of meat so I thought it was some sort of eggplant but something tasted wrong so I asked my meateater partner to taste it. He told me it was beef. I was devastated and so sick afterwards having not digested animal flesh in so long. How does vegetarian get translated into beef I don’t know. All I know after one of the worst nights of my life it ended with me eating animal. The thought still makes me sick to my stomach. You need to hire staff who listen to an order request. And write on each box what it contains I will not be giving this establishment any more of my money unless the owners would like to offer me a do over meal. Until then I will never step foot into this establishment again.

Pasta Go Go is well priced and yet still tasty pasta. You may be able to make better at home but i think that applies with most fast foods!
The staff are always pleasant and polite and the store is well presented and cheerful. Most times the side street has parking available and they do accept phone orders too so makes pick up easy!

Yes, Pasta Go Go is cheap and convenient but I don’t think it’s great quality. In my opinion you get what you pay for, fast food.
It’s certainly edible but nothing out of the ordinary. I’d much rather spend a couple of dollars more elsewhere and get something better. Or just make my own sauce at home.

Pasta Go Go is positively a pasta institution on The Parade in Norwood and offers really great alternative to the sometimes boring and well worn takeaway options. Think Wok in A Box but for pasta, which I think may have a stronger audience, so there fore makes it a really wicked idea.
Similarly, to Wok in a Box, there is a range of menu options available that you can choose from, or you can choose from the fresh ingredients and make your own creation. The service is pretty fast even when I went during a relatively busy period. The prices are more than some other takeaway options but they do have some great deals where you can get a pasta dish and a drink at a discounted rate. Maybe not as well presented as fancy restaurants but that is why you don’t pay the overpriced rates.

As a friend has once put it, Pasta Go Go is what God would eat if he lived in Norwood.
Their first store opened up on Unley Road, Malvern, and this store opened shortly after its instant success.
Basically, you can choose what pasta you want, what sauce you want, and whether or not you want garlic bread and a can of coke for an extra $ 1.50 (I think) — then they serve it to you in a Chinese takeaway food box like in the movies! Or like Wok in a Box. Or Sumo Salad, for that matter.
One of my favourites is the chicken pesto, or the amatriciana — delicious.
It’s delicious, fresh and tasty. The service is great and there’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
This store is located at the top of The Parade, Norwood, towards Portrush Rd. They haven’t been around for very long but word spreads quickly and they get very busy.

The Pasta Go Go at Norwood has just recently opened. If you haven’t had it before I know what you’re thinking, fast food pasta, it’s going to be bad. But no! I can be a bit of a pasta snob and this pasta is good. I am in love with their gnocchi and their puttanesca. Gnocchi can be done really badly, but for cheap pasta they do it so well! You also have the choice of adding cheese and, or chilli to all your pastas. I would recommend both if you don’t mind a bit of spice.
The pastas come in two sizes and are served in what are usually Asian takeaway containers. Don’t stress about keeping it warm, even by the time I have driven it home it is still boiling hot.
The service is good too. It’s never overly friendly, but they make sure you get what you want and it comes out quickly. Even on really busy nights I haven’t had to wait for too long to get my food.
They usually have a deal where you can get a can of soft drink, regular pasta and garlic bread for a reduced price. I would recommend doing this!

Pasta Go GO is like the WokInABox of pasta take away.
You choose your pasta type, which can be tortellini, spaghetti, penne, fettuccine, ravioli, gnocchi, etc.
You then pick the type of sauce you want with it.
They then cook up both, put them in a cardboard take away container, and then you enjoy your amazing take away pasta.
Very good for what it’s worth.
With so many different choices and customisation options, you can create your own personal favourite.
I’m a fan of the tortellini with creamy chicken pasta sauce.
