The Bearded Tit Bar

Excellent bar in Redfern. Everyone goes to Arcadia Liquors but this bar is much better. Great décor, drinks and an outside space. Also, the half chicken on the menu is great.

This is a pretty great little kitch bar. I get the feeling that there are tons of regulars because the staff and patrons are super friendly and inclusive, everyone was mingling when I was there. Pretty rare for Sydney. I’d been itching to check this place out. Really enjoyed myself here.

A lovely, taxidermy-​filled space. If you’re struggling for conversation with your friend /​date /​lover while there you can easily just stare at a random spot on the wall /​floor /​ceiling for instant stimulus.
The drinks are a little spensy, but they have to fun all those taxidermy deer butts somehow.
I really need to add a separate location for the bathrooms. AMAZING.

Things I saw in The Bearded Tit:
— An explorer with a giant pith helmet.
— A warthog in a sailor cap playing the trumpet
— Two babies stitched together Human Centipede-​style
— A skeleton sitting behind the bar.
— A deer’s ass
… and a million other things besides. Part art space, part living room, part bar, part live music venue, all aces. This joint is fcking magnificent, it’s pretty much my new favourite bar. They order food in from Wah Fung Chinese across the road or make their own pies and special kicking beans. There’s reasonably-​priced drinks, inventive cocktails, super friendly bar-​women, red leather barber chairs to sit in, a ton to look at, tables, booths, giant-​ass comfy stools, a backyard with a keg table and a caravan you can sit and party in and look if nothing I’ve said so far is winning you over you’re already a corpse.
Get in and get on, this place is the tits.

This place had it all going on! From the art work on the wall to the taxidermy bird aviary to the pizza that comes promptly after it’s ordered. I can’t think of a better place now to sling back a few after a day at the office, or to chill on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

The Bearded Tit is a magnificently fitted out bar/​art space with booths, bar stools and a smoker’s section out back. One of the newest additions to Redfern’s burgeoning groovy entertainment scene, the Tit has dedicated art spaces, an endless array of wonderful things to look at and a decent beer selection.
You can order a gourmet pie (meat variations only) or order in from a local business. I had salt & pepper tofu and wanted chilli sauce. I didn’t find out until afterwards that instead of simply saying we don’t have any, the staff called the restaurant and got them to bring some over! Bless! Great vibes.

Went there last Sunday… Very funny front window… Really unique interior and great service… Different from any bar I have been to in Sydney and I have been to a few… lol!!!
