Fantastic service & food was great. Love the tapas option, so you can try a lot more variety. just went for our wedding anniversary. Also great they have corkage charges so you can to take your own wine if you like.

I was a little disappointed with the décor and general look of the place but the food made up for it. All tapas choices were amazing! It is a fair drive for me to go there but I will definitely make the effort.

Great tasting meal. Good service but overall not as good as it should have been. We ordered the paella for two. No crust on the paella, but still outstanding. The prawns were massive but sllighlty overcooked. The rest was fantastic. There is no kids menu so we ordered tapas for the child with calamari, lemon and aloi — fantastic. Service was great, really friendly but the paella contained no chorizo. Then for dessert we couldn’t order the Churro’s — as the machine was not working. The two things I was looking forward to was Churro’s and Chorizo and neither were available. My advice is ring and check whats avaialble before booking. A table of six next to us wanted to walk out when they heard the Churro’s were not available. It was good, but its not something I would return to in a hurry.

Amazing tapas selections and sangria. I recommend the pork belly, croquettes and garlic mushrooms.

I know the whole idea of eating spanish food is entrée size meals otherwise known as ‘Tapas’ and lots of them and yes they taste wonderful but for the price of each serve… it will definitely be an occasional visit and for get togethers. It has wide ranging hours so be sure to have a siesta before going. El Toro is in a great location along Semaphore Rd and not too far from the beach so yes it is a good place to go for either lunch or a casual dinner after a day at the beach. There are so many to cafes to choose from but make this at least one to go to whilst down this way, as it offers a fresh vibe to the area fast becoming a foody mecca. As for the décor, a bit more effort required on the inside to give it that Spanish look and feel, but the best spot is definitely outside… especially at night. Good food, good service and great Sangria on a balmy summer night… can’t go past it!
