VERY VERY slow/bad service. Should also try smiling even though not much to smile about. My husband made a genuine complaint about getting his coffee ½ hour after they gave him his cake (usually most people like to drink the coffee whilst eating their cake) and another member of our party also complained about ordering her coffee twice and not getting it at all!!! She (the waitress) just looked at him and walked away. Did not even bother to address the complaints. Then let’s not get started with having to wait /2 hour to get menus and ¾ of an hour to get our meals. Who the hell wants to spend the whole Sunday in a café??? We did practically!!!

Always greeted with a friendly smile from the staff, food never disappoints and the make sure you order your coffee in the big mugs. Can sometimes be a little noisy and busy but that adds to the atmosphere. Make sure you book a table if you go Sunday mornings. Also give the musli a go; you will not be disappointed.

Have you been to Italy? If your answer is yes or no this place has to be on your hit list. Yes because you will know the quality of genuine Italian cuisine or no because its HEAPS closer than Italy but you still want the tasty eats? Its only a small café that once a month in the evening it transforms into a wander through Italy, Selecting a different region each month. Amazing mouth watering treats, nothing like I have never eaten before — EVERYTHING is amazing! Best of luck trying to get in though, its intimate but its ALWAYS full, but well worth the wait, oh and don’t eat for like a week before you go, its a solid 4 courses, oh and take a taxi because they have outstanding Italian wines to match

Well what looked very promising in terms of the food on display and the number of patient guests, turned out to be not that fabulous. The service was slow for some reason, even though coffee and meals service is split we still waited 20 minutes for the first round of coffee to arrive. General consensus in terms of food was that it wasnt that special (looked great tasted bland).
As the previous reviewer mentioned, it is a convenient location to the train and looks the goods, but something just isnt working as it should here.
Let’s hope things ‘click’ soon here as it’s a prime spot, with great views, and really should be better.

The coffee here is of a pretty low calibre; however when you’re waiting for a train at the nearby Strathmore station (especially when you have just missed one and the bastards haven’t scheduled another one for fifteen minutes even though it’s peak hour), you don’t really have any other option than «The Corner Café on Woodland».
