Charming tea shop. The scones with cream and jam are unbelievable! Had the chai tea which was splendid. Wished to return the next day for round two, but my trip was cut short.

Cute and cozy as the name implies :)! Tea and scones were both good, venue is nestled in to a historic building in the heart of the Rocks.

This cozy little Irish café is located right next to the famous The Rocks weekend market. Don’t be deceived by the Irish shop front selling Celtic memorabilia, the true gem of the store is found when you walk through the corridor lined with teapots. Make sure you a seat before ordering! The place gets really crowded and you need a table before you can order. We’ve had the Devonshire tea set, which came with two scones, served with their homemade pear and cinnamon jam. The scones were simply divine! We’ve also ordered the Ploughman’s lunch which was very very filling and yummy. The savoury cheese scones were served with all sorts of side dishes. I would recommend this place to tourist or locals alike. You will be amazed by the attentiveness of the staff and their service in this place. Yes, you’ll probably have to wait 25mins for the scones but they are so worth the wait. While you’re waiting, check out the charming interior and quirky little teapot collection!

Great place to stop for tea and scones — good scones, good tea, and delicious jam and cream. Try to sit on the balcony upstairs to people watch the crowd below on George Street below.

I recently held my 25th Birthday Tea here and I was so utterly impressed with the venue, food and service The Tea Cosy has to offer! I searched high and low for a high tea venue at a reasonable price, and $ 25 for bottomless tea, a cold drink, scones, sandwiches and strawberries and cream is about as reasonable as you’re going to get! And the quality of the food was amazing! The jams are homemade and divine(the pear and vanilla is to die for!) and you get plenty of scones so you can sample them all if you choose to! The majority of the teas come from T2, so you know they are serving you a quality product and I think between us we may have sampled just about every type they had on the menu! The crockery used is just delightful and really gives the function room and old world vintage feel. The atmosphere is truly warm and cosy made even more so by the fantastic service provided by Cassie — who always stopped and made sure that everything was going smoothly and to our liking. If you’re looking for a spot to stop in The Rocks after a hard days shopping or exploring, stop by The Tea Cosy and be welcomed by it’s delicious atmosphere and it’s delicious scones!

This place is adorable! A converted historical terrace into a little shop with Irish stuff, but more importantly a gorgeous little tea shop –The Tea Cosy out the back and upstairs with the tastiest scones, inventive homemade jams(paw paw, lime and passion fruit) and a lovely selection of teas with names like; Crème Brulee, Madagascan Vanilla, Red Fancy Fruit and Gunpowder Green all served in teapots in the most cutest looking tea cosys. We were there for a Birthday Tea Party and got the entire room upstairs to ourselves, and it was surprisingly good value! $ 25 got us bottomless tea, sandwiches, scones(lots of scones– 2 each with some left over) and strawberries. It was lovely– and it was a 3 hour sitting. The only criticism was, it was super busy downstairs, and the one girl serving our party was run off her feet, so it was a little long between pots of tea, but other than that a lovely outing for a cold Sunday afternoon.
