Peter Bouchier – Butchers of Distinction

Someone asked me if I was a vegetarian the other day. I was outraged. I demanded an explanation. ‘I don’t know, you look like one,’ she said. What does a vegetarian look like? I’m imagining pale, thin, malnourished, hair perhaps unwashed or uncombed. Yes, this is a vast overgeneralization, but I did get the feeling that’s what she had implied.
So to prove to all the people out there that I’m a woman who loves her meat, I am reviewing the best butcher I know. Peter G Bouchier — even the name sounds expensive, and by god it is. But we have a saying in my family: I’d rather have a great steak than a great house. Okay, so I made that up, but I felt it really supported my point.
Rubbish aside, Peter G offers the absolute best cuts of meat. He’s like the John West of meat. I’ve never seen an ounce, a slither, a hair of fat on any of his cuts. It’s all just top quality, lean meat. Delicious.
My partner would like to add, ‘they also have nice random shit in there as well.’ I hope that enhanced the review.
