Cafe Kalisto

I went to Kalisto with a friend and her 2yo toddler, on reviews of the previous coffee shop (Bowerbird) having great coffee and a kid’s play area.
We actually drove past this location before realising it had changed names and was now called Kalisto. We chose to check out the new business in the location and I’m glad we did.
Whilst it has been refurbed and gotten rid of the child’s play area, it is still a great space. There are a few different rooms/​areas out the back, along with a bookshelf full of reading material and even a guitar and set of bongos should you choose to have a jam whilst sipping your skinnycino!
The barista was extremely welcoming and opened the balcony for us to enjoy, and delivered our coffees to us with a smile on his face whilst amusing us with tales of his «entertainment» of past «little human» visitors.
The coffee was great, and I definitely recommend the salted caramel cookie — trust me, it’s worth breaking the diet for!
I glad we came across this little gem in the suburbs of Wavell!
