This is a reliable place to go for weekend and weekday coffee when you are up and about early on the Northside.
If you are ok with sharing your morning coffee experience with dogs, small children, mum’s and dad’s who all seem to know each other from the hood, then this is the place for you.
I have been a number of times and the service has been decent but not what I would call an amazing experience but it wasn’t a bad one either. This place is another that I wish I could give ½ stars to, because it’s not a 3 but not quite a 4.
BTW — my parents love this place on a Friday evening, where they meet their friends for some wine and live entertainment.

After trying to find somewhere close by to have a quick bite to eat and a drink on the morning of a public holiday we decided retro espresso would be good, unfortunately there’s no contact number to call to see if they are open or not, we got lucky because they were!
Great service. I had the toasted muesli with yoghurt and honey, was so delicious!
Way too filling for me, I was only able to finish half!
I don’t drink coffee but my friend got a soy latte, she said it was perfectly creamy and perfect temperature!
Was a great early morning experience and will definitely come back.

Decent coffee with different milk options, perfect for those of us who are lactose intolerant. They also have excellent hours and a friendly staff.

If you like to watch people wait while they make one coffee at a time and have a chat this place is for you! We won’t forget the burnt coffee flavor but we will forget the retro espresso. Bless.

Wavell Heights has a surprisingly high number of neighbourhood businesses and this little café is a good addition to the scene.
Obviously well patronised by locals, the coffee is nice, the food is tasty and the service is friendly.
I wouldn’t drive out of my way for it, but it’s a nice place to meet friends who live in the area.

A cute little coffee shop in Wavell Heights that serves Segafredo coffee beans. The coffee was nice (though not overly strong) and a drinkable temperature. The guys before the counter were really friendly and chatty. My friend tells me this place is always very full and busy and I can see why. $ 3.50 for a small coffee, so reasonably priced.
They also serve breakfast, sandwiches and toasties.
They’re also open from 5am during the week and 5:30am on weekends.
This café is cash only and they have lots of seats to sit back and enjoy your coffee with a magazine or newspaper. There is also courtyard and highchairs for the kids.
