My husband and I waited 45 minutes for a table despite having a booking. We waited about half an hour for our appetiser, and an additional 40 minutes for our pizza and pasta where by the pizza came out 20 mins after the pasta. The pasta was stone Cold. You would expect it to be fresh considering the waiting time. Was very disappointed.

We made a booking at 7:30 but were only seated at 9pm. I don’t know why we bothered — ribs were dry, nothing was seasoned properly. The next time we came, we turned up without a booking. It took the waitress 15 mins to tell us that we could have a table but would have to leave in 50 mins. But the place was 90% empty, so I guess they must over book. It took a while to have our order taken and by the time food cane out we only had 20 mins to eat. We made sure not to order anything from the time before. Pizza was burnt, there were wholes in the pizza because it has burned through. What added salt to the proverbial wound which was our experience is that when we were ushered out, the place was still half empty. We are still confused as to how one night it can take 1.5 hrs to get a seat WITH a booking when they clearly take their booking system very seriously. To have two bad experiences at this restaurant back to back means I will not be returning, nor would I recommend anyone to dine here.

Rude staff Seating was a bit a bad experience by no body took our order. Food was okay. It’s a copy cat want to be a grounds of Alexandria very similar and that’s the worst thing for me as I want to go some where new not a copy you so tell that the people that built this go to the grounds and copy similar but not even the quality wasn’t that good guy you should have your own ideas !!!

First time here. Happy with the service and atmosphere. Recommended to book before hand as it gets really busy. Entrée we had was salt and pepper squid and some garlic bread which were both great. Disappointed with the mains though. Both pasta dishes and were bland :(

Set amongst an almost industrial area it was quite easy to drive past this place. I loved the décor, it kind of felt like i was in my Nonna’s house with the melamine top table and mis matched chairs. They played music from the 60’s but i would have preferred some old school Italian music for a more authentic experience. The food was very good, the anti pasto was great and they aren’t kidding when they say hard crusty bread. The gnocchi were a little disspointing as i think they were made with semolina instead of potato but thats just my preference. The wait staff are friendly and attentive, i would certainly go back again.

Weird place for a restaurant(amongst factories) but I like a challenge, it’s all part of the experience. The restaurant is very rustic but in a cool way. It feels cozy and comfortable but the lighting is way too dim, it was hard to read the menu. The meatballs and the duck ragu were the stand outs. Garlic prawn pizza was also tasty and had a bit of a kick which was a nice surprise. Full bar, you can BYO(wine only) but it’s $ 4 corkage per person. Nice restaurant for this area and would defiantly recommend it for a nice Italian meal.

I watched this place getting constructed curiously wondering what was to become and in a matter of a few short weeks Grano has become an institution in Sydney’s greater west as not only a place of amazing authentic Italian food but also a place to be entertained with the usual Friday night live bands but they’ve also hosted their inaugural Sunday Market Day — whereby market stands were erected selling arts and crafts, boutique food with a small animal farm to entertain the kiddies! The host Antonio is a real entrepreneur and even being such a young establishment this place is constantly evolving with something new every time I come here — and I come here quite a bit! Let’s talk food: Pizzas — simple, perfectly woodfired, chewy, crispy crusts, my fav is ‘The Antonio’ Salads — they’re all good but ‘The Speckarella’ is unique and a must try Pastas — I like spicy so my recommendation is the sausage pasta Desserts — they have a special ‘Cherry Ripe Ravioli’, it’s not on the menu but if more request it I’m sure they’d be forced to make it a regular. Dessert pizzas to share are also delectable. Simple and tasty is the theme here Great coffees, cosy yet eclectic and authentic feel of being at home with a great alfresco area and vege & herb garden to add that touch of warmth and fuzziness. This place is forever adding to and evolving so be sure to come back again and again and again for a different experience everyone.
