Hotel Imlauer

Though along «hotel row,» I felt a little removed from the sight seeing attractions, the hotel desk staff were not overly helpful –in fact I was given wrong information when looking for a pharmacy and, upon discovering we had only been given 1 bath towel while preparing to get in the shower, I was made to come down and get them myself. Apparently, housekeeping staff wouldn’t be in until later in the day. This was an inconvenience to get presentable enough to go down stairs and retrieve what should have been in the room in the first place!
The room was fairly spacious but I prefer a single mattress over two twin toppers like you find here, although I understand this to be common in Europe.
The «bar» is a smoking lounge — reeking of smoke with no one in it! The breakfast was mediocre and the service was poor/​non-​existent.
Not sure I would consider staying here again. Especially disappointed given the Best Western affiliation.
We did have a good meal at the restaurant across the street…
