We went on a Monday evening and it was very quiet, but the food was delicious! The service was outstanding as well. My husband and I enjoyed our dinner very much.

This place was delicious. We started off with an amuse-​bouche of chorizo and chimichurri, followed by an assortment of bread with compound butter and different sea salt flavors. We also ordered beers with our meal. We split a scallop appetizer and then ordered separate main dishes. The desserts were icing on the cake, with amazing flavors. They set the silverware with white gloves and the service was outstanding. We felt underdressed, but it was an amazing experience.

War gestern mit meiner Frau das 1. Mal da und war ungemein positiv überrascht.
Ambiente gemütlich, ruhig mit guter Musik
Schon das Entrée mit aufgewärmten Gebäck, Olivenöl mit Zitrone und Liebstöckelsalz war gelungen.
Ausgezeichnete Aroma-​Küche, sehr geschmackvoll und kreativ.
Zuvorkommende Bedienung mit soliden Weinkenntnissen. Das war ein lohnender Besuch !

Strangely, usually a ghost town, but whatever. It’s GREAT!
I have eaten breakfast here twice, and dinner twice as well.
Day one, Breakfast: Two poached eggs on toast with sausage, English Breakfast tea, fresh orange juice. Yummy. The sausages were more gamey than I’m used to, but delicious.
Night one, Dinner: Truffled Kolrabi (I think that’s how you spell it) soup, with eel & lardon. AMAZING! YUMMY! HUZZAH! The eel is smoked & the soup was perfect. Truffle-​awesomeness.
Veal two-​ways. YES! Very artfully displayed. Fine dining for sure.
Day two, Breakfast: Soft boiled egg, thyme toast, bacon, earl grey tea & apple juice. SO good & just what I wanted.
Night two, dinner: Smoked trout appetizer, & monkfish entrée. Awesomeness.
This place RULES. And the wines they paired for dinner were fantastic.

Hotelrestaurants stehe ich ja immer etwas skeptisch gegenüber, at eight hat mich jedoch auf sehr angenehme Weise überrascht.
Das Restaurant ist im «The Ring» Hotel untergebracht. Zwei Räume, reines Nichtraucherlokal. Nettes, trendiges Ambiente mit Asia-​Touch.
Die kleine aber feine Speisekarte bietet sogenannte Aromaküche. Hier geht es um die Kombination unterschiedlicher bzw. in Kontrast stehender Geschmackskombinationen. Sicher nur etwas für den fortgetschrittenen Esser, Gordon & Wiener/​Pommes Liebhaber werden sich möglicherweise in der Karte nicht wiederfinden. Richtung: Mediterran, asiatisch, sehr fettarm. Die Portionen sind relativ klein, ein 4 – 5 gängiges Menü ist auch Heisshunger zu schaffen.
Sehr kreative Kombinationen in Geschmack wie Präsentation.
Qualität: außergewöhnlich
Zu jeder Speise ist auch eine individuelle Weinempfehlung glasweise erhältlich.
Service ist freundich & aufmerksam jedoch nicht borniert. Gehobenes Preislevel, der Qualität aber entsprechend.

I had breakfast here, as this is the restaurant inside our hotel. The fruit salad was excellent. All the fruit was fresh and perfectly ripe and a nice combination of melon, apple, pear and citrus along with some strange berries. The orange juice is freshly squeezed, as well. I had an omelette which turned out to be devoid of any filling, but perhaps this was my fault for not specifying exactly what I wanted in it, so I won’t hold this against them. I think this would be an excellent choice for someone without my dietary restrictions.

Im Rahmen der Dining Week habe ich gemeinsam mit zwei guten FreundInnen das At Eight zum Abendessen besucht. In einer sehr entspannten und angenehmen Atmosphäre wurden vom Küchenteam köstliche Gerichte der Aroma-​Küche zubereitet. Mit Liebe zum Detail und dem (behutsamen) Einsatz von unterschiedlichsten Gewürzen und Ölen war jeder Gang ein Genuss.
Das Serviceteam war aufmerksam und hat sehr zu einem schönen Abend beigetragen: Empfehlenswert.

Excellent location, lovely fine dining room. Very calm, open-​air feelinginteresting concept of aroma cuisine. The menu items are fresh, health oriented and beautifully served. At Eight is in the Ring Hotel and a nice change from the typical Viennese fare.
