Hotel Erzherzog Rainer

TL;DR — Great hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast but no AC.
Stayed here for five nights during July and had a great time. The hotel is incredibly well located — really close to the underground, and all the sites are a short walk away. Breakfast was included and they put on a really great spread — sausage, bacon, eggs, toast and various breads, cakes, cereals, juices, tea and coffee, cold meats, cheeses… the list goes on!
All the staff we met were professional, friendly and spoke fluent English. They fell over themselves to help us, offering advice on places to eat and things to see — including some special events which were going on and we would never have known about otherwise. They were so friendly, one of them spotted us whilst we were sightseeing and said hello!
There were other touches which were really nice too — for example, on arrival we got a voucher for two free drinks in the bar. There’s free wi-​fi too, and the rooms are clean and nice. Our one criticism has to be that Vienna is HOT in July, and the rooms have no air-​conditioning (but were equipped with a very good fan) and because our room was on the same side as the tram line, we couldn’t sleep with the windows open due to road noise.
Would we stay here again? Yes, without a doubt and without a moment’s hesitation. The only reason why they’re not getting five stars is that air conditioning would have been really welcome. Everything else was basically perfect!

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Koffer wurden selbstverständlich ins Zimmer gebracht und das Personal hatte noch ein paar freundliche Ratschläge für die Abendgestaltung bereit. Das Zimmer hätte ein bisschen größer sein können. Das Frühstück verdient ein Lob. Das Hotel ist von der Innen stadt auch zu Fuß noch gut zu erreichen. Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Gewohnt hab ich im Hotel Erherzog Rainer zwar noch nicht, aber gegessen im hauseigenen Wirtshaus Wiener Wirtschaft.
Wenns auch vom Interieur nicht so ganz meins war, das Essen dort hat mich positiv überrascht, natürlich ist die typisch wienerische Küche fein ausgebaut, so heißt es und so ist es, hat wirklich geschmeckt, klare Linie, freundliches Service.
Ist ein Hotel der Schickgruppe, dort kann man im Flair der K&K Monarchie residieren, liegt zentral, wirkt alles sehr stabil und gut organisiert.
