A fantastic find for wine lovers in Vienna, particularly if you are looking for the new wave of olde-world style wines. We stopped by Pub Klemo in Margareten, but it was closed for the season and the sign pointed us to this Klemo spot on the Danau canal walkway. We sat down on a cute deck with a great view of all the people walking by. The wine list has plenty from Austria, but for those interested in other countries, France, Germany, and even New Zealand and the U.S. Servers are friendly and well-versed in the wines. The wines from Austria are particularly interesting. Although traditional Grüners and Rieslings are present, Klemo also has a large array of natural and orange wines, a must for the adventurous palate. If a bottle is your thing(we had two), head to the climate-controlled storage container to browse and nab something delicious. A 9 euro corkage fee is added to the retail pricing for wines enjoyed on the terrace. Food was simple and tasty. Cheese and meat plates are your best bet, although the pasta was quite good given the limited tools they had in the converted storage container. Prices were good, but maybe a bit on the high side. Still, well worth it for unusual and interesting wines!

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Margareten, Vienna, Austria
It’s always cool to see a restaurant from my hood branch out. First Motto made the trip uptown and now Pub Klemo has followed(if only for the warmer months.) Situated on the Danube Canal near to the Badeschiff, this is a great spot to meet friends on a summer late-afternoon or evening and enjoy a glass of wine or two or ___. They even have a mini-wine store on the premises to take home a bottle of the wine you’re drinking. Pub Klemo is a fine addition to the Donaukanal scene!
