Eine kleine gemütliche Sushi-​Bar gleich abseits der Mariahilfer Straße. Das Menü ist klassisch und ohne Außergewöhnliches. Das große Sashimi war tatsächlich groß und die verschiedenen Sushi-​Variationen, die wir probiert haben, waren gut. Auch der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Preislich auch vollkommen okay. Der einzige Grund für den Punktabzug ist, dass es für mich doch ein, zwei andere Sushi-​Läden in Wien gibt, die mich noch ein bisschen mehr überzeugen.

I really wasn’t wild about the sushi. It was reasonably priced especially considering Vienna prices. But everything seemed watery. Even the fish! The fish was fresh. But overly wet ?! The wasabi was more like a sauce than a nice ball and they soya sauce was watery and lacked flavor. That would be my assessment. It all lacked any discernible flavor. I give stars for the good service and the outdoor seating.

Best sushi in Vienna. I’m a sushi lover, and that’s the best sushi you can try in the city. It’s my girlfriend and me’s favourite restaurant, and we go there anytime we can. The menu is quite big, so the possibilities are infinite. The quality of the fish and the rice is extreme, you can feel the fish melting in your mouth, and the wasabi is really good as well. The price range would be around 15 – 25 €/​person, so not expensive at all for a once a month date. I would totally recommend this place to sushi lovers.

Vorweg lässt sich sagen: Hier gibt es das beste Sushi, das ich in meinem Leben je gegessen habe und das war bereits in mehreren Ländern in unzähligen Restaurants. Eigentlich habe ich überhaupt überlegt, einen Bericht zu schreiben, da ich auch weiterhin immer einen Platz in diesem Lokal ergattern möchte. Einzig ein wenig zu kritisieren ist der Preis: Ich nehme jedes mal eine Maki Variation, meine Begleitung ein ganzes Familienset mit Maki, Sashimi etc. in allen möglichen Arten und 2 Getränke — dafür zahlen wir glatt 40 €. Allerdings kann man für so gutes Essen auch diesen Preis hinlegen, daher ist das nur ein kleiner Minuspunkt.

This is not a Japanese own restaurant… probably Chinese.
Their menu is quite complete but what I got for my order wasn’t exactly what I was expected. You’ve got to understand that after eating sushi year after year out of Vancouver, I think that it’s difficult to get the same quality and choice out of here.
Perhaps there is a better Japanese restaurant in Vienna.
Just a simple edamame came overcooked and without salt on it! My chirashi-​don came with little slices of sashimi and not enough variety.

I picked up some sushi here after arriving at Westbahnhof and looking for somewhere near Westbahnhof, and was really pleasantly surprised. I was a bit skeptical because it was pretty empty and there only seemed to be a couple of people there for pickup, but thought I’d just try anyway.
They only have a small-​ish menu, which i always like, and just had a couple of rolls and then a larger selection of sushi and make. I had a roll with Salmon and Avocado and then some sashimi, and have to say it was actually really good! The pieces of avocado were huge and the fish incredibly tender and a far cry from the usual plastic-​y stuff from the more, ahem, common places around town.
It also only took, quite literally, 3 minutes to get everything to go. Everything is made fresh right there, and even though it took me a good 20mins to get home everything was perfect.
It’s a bit tough since they don’t seem to have a website or anything only to look at, I always love looking at menus before getting there and was even thinking of calling the order in from the train, but alas, not possible. This also meant that I actually think they got my order wrong (I’m pretty sure I ordered sushi and not sashimi like I got) but then was at home and couldn’t look up what exactly had been in the menu — not that there would have been anything I could have done about it at that point, but still. It does make things a bit more difficult in this day and age.
Prices were really reasonable, I paid just under 20 euros which was totally justified considering what I got.
Overall — I’ll definitely be back!

In this little hidden gem directly off of the hustle and bustle of Mariahilferstrasse, you can find peace and quiet along with great fresh sushi, an incredible seaweed salad, an array of cold and hot drinks including mango or lychee tea, and small town authentic friendliness in the big city. If sushi isn’t your thing, have no fear. There are plenty of rice and noodle based warm entrees typical for a Japanese restaurant. I am a huge fan.

Ausgezeichneter Japaner mit sehr gutem Sushi, ich war bereits öfters dort udn habe jedes mal seh frischen fisch bekommen, am besten ist es wenn man zu Mittag oder Nachmittags hingeht. Das Sushi hier ist kein vergleich zu den Sushis von den –50% läden.

Hatte nur Sake Maki und Kappa Maki bestellt. War beides recht gut. Dazu eine Udon Gemüsesuppe. Leider war das Gemüse und die Nudeln viel zu zerkocht. Geschmacklich ansonsten ganz gut.
Umgehauen hat es mich jetzt nicht gerade. Aber es ist ok.
Leider habe ich dort jedoch gefroren. Diee Einrichtung ist sehr schlicht.
Das Personal ist freundlich und alles in allem ist es ok um mal zwischendurch etwas zu essen.

Zugegeben: Die Karte ist eher frei von Überraschungen und wird vom üblichen Thunfisch-​Lachs-​Butterfisch Trio dominiert. Und ja, die Einrichtung könnte auch eine Spur gemütlicher sein. Was aber jedenfalls absolut stimmt, ist die Qualität. Gerade in einer Stadt, in der es vor billigen minus X Prozent Sushi-​Buden nur so wimmelt und sogar in U-​Bahn Stationen teilweise fades Gammelsushi über die Theke geht, ist derart ausgezeichnetes — wenn auch einfaches — Sushi eine Freude.
Die Preise sind dabei sehr fair (ja fast so günstig wie eben die genannten billigbuden) und jedenfalls günstiger als so manches, was einem in Wien als Sushi angedreht wird (dots, anyone?)
Oh und das Chirashi Sushi ist ein Traum. (Sashimi im auf einem Topf voll Reis — in der Menge und getrennt merkt man auch sehr schön, wie fein und dezent der Reis hier gesäuert wird)

Es ist das beste Sushi in ganz Wien. immer wenn ich Lust auf Sushi und japanische Küche habe, muss ich ins Mono gehen. Die Atmosphäre ist überaus angenehm und sehr familiär. Der Gast fühlt sich hier als wäre er im Esszimmer eines guten Freundes, der Service sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Ambiente einfach und minimalistisch, ohne überflüssige Extras, der Focus auf das Essen gerichtet und man verbringt eine sehr tolle Zeit im Mono. Meinen Gusto auf Sushi kann ich nur im Mono stillen.

Sushi im Mono ist meiner Meinung nach das beste Sushi Wiens. Die Atmosphäre ist familiär die Einrichtung bewusst minimalistisch. Ein kleines aber sehr feines Lokal. Die warmen Speisen habe ich bis jetzt noch gar nicht ausprobiert, da ich das Sushi dort einfach zu sehr liebe. Ich ziehe demnächst nach Vancouver und Sushi essen im Mono, wird mir an Wien fast am meisten fehlen.

Die Qualität ist frisch und geschmackvoll — das Service familiär, die Einrichtung nicht besprechungswert.

Frisches Sushi und japanische Spezialitäten werden vor den Augen des Gastes zubereitet.
Das Suschi war echt spitzenklasse, die Hauptspeise war etwas zu stark gewürzt aber dennoch lecker.
Die Einrichtung ist ziemlich karg, da könnte man schon noch was machen.
Der Kellner bzw. der Sushi Koch war sehr nett jedoch etwas wortkark.
Noch ein kleines Manko — Wir aßen eine Shushi Variation zum Kennenlernen. Ich war etwas enttäuscht das wir nur Sushi mit Lachs und keinem anderen Fisch bekamen.
