What you can do at the Klaviergalerie: Buy a piano, sell a piano, fix a piano, piano tuning (will make house calls for 88 euros), rent rooms for practicing or teaching beginning at 2,50 per hour, rent saal for practicing at 25 euros per hour or for concerts (prices vary), rent ton studio for recordings beginning at 99euros for 30 min.
I teach and practice out of the Klaviergalerie a lot and have yet to find something in Vienna more convenient and as cheap for private lessons. The small rooms with one piano begin at only 2,50 per hour. The front desk service and online booking is great and the location is so convenient. Watch out for the 24 hour cancellation policy! They also don’t mind if you leave flyers and cards behind for your private teaching. I wish there weren’t any «through rooms» where people can actually walk through while you are practicing or teaching, but thank goodness these are only a last resort booking option for me. As far as group rehearsals, the larger rooms work, but you can never rely on what kind of piano or how many pianos are in the rooms (sometimes you show up and can’t even fit in the room), in what condition the piano will be in, and will the room be clean. Lighting is also a problem because most of the rooms don’t have windows. However, I am a frequent booker and until I have my own studio, Klaviergalerie it is!

Ich bin zur Zeit auf der Suche nach einem Ort, wo ein Freund von mir auf einem Flügel spielen kann. Er spielt schon lange Klavier und das wäre ein großer Traum von ihm, mit dem ich ihn überraschen möchte. Nachdem mein Geldbörsel es leider nicht zulässt, ihm eines zu kaufen, noch jemand, den ich kenne, eines besitzt, musste ich meine Recherché ausweiten.
Meine Suche im Freundeskreis und im Internet haben schließlich gefruchtet und ich bin auf diese Klaviergalerie gestossen. Hier können Klaviere und Flügel nicht nur gekauft werden, sondern man kann darauf auch einfach darauf spielen.
Es gibt viele verschiedene Räume, in denen das gewünschte Instrument steht, die man für wenige Euro stundenweise mieten kann. Ein Stundenhotel für Klavierliebhaber quasi. Zudem gibt es einen mietbaren Konzertsaal und die Möglichkeit das Gespielte auch aufzunehmen.
