Würstelbox

Ausgezeichnete Würste, köstliche Käsekreiner und vor allem
sehr netter Chef.

Das einzig negative, das ich über die Würstelbox sagen kann sind die Öffnungszeiten, die sich mir nicht wirklich erschliessen. Was ich aber sagen kann, ist das die Box nur abends geöffnet hat, unter Tags steht man vor verschlossenem Rollo.
Jetzt aber zum Positiven: die Qualität der Würste passt immer, die Preise auch und es gibt einen wirklich netten kleinen «Gastgarten» in dem man sitzen kann. Ich schaue hier immer wieder gerne nach einer Trinkrunde im 6. Bezirk vorbei und bin bisher noch nie enttäuscht worden.

Walking around Sunday night looking for something to munch on. This little triangle of food huts has Mcd’s, a Asian noodle spot and Würstelbox. It’s also directly in front of the Pilgramgasse train station. It just seems like a reg food stand but the quality of the food is very good and the mustard is a very nice addition.
The food:
Käsekrainer– I got this «hot dog» style which is a hollowed out French bread. The thing is humongous, the quality of the sausage is excellent and the mustard is a nice complement. The mustard is slightly sweet but a must addition. The bread is too big for the sausage in my opinion, next time I will try it sans bread dome. The place also serves beer, so sausage and German beer? Sure!!! The seating is just a couple of small tables, it’s a food stand.
Bratwurst mit Brot u. Senf– this is a bratwurst with bread and mustard and I like this version better than the «hot dog» version. The «hot dog» version has too much damn bread!!! The bratwurst is excellent, it had a slight crunch from the outside and the inside is nice and juicy. I like this slightly better than Käsekrainer.
