The breakfast was very good! The fresh orange juice, boiled egg and bread were super good. The interior is very beautiful! The only negative thing was that it was very cold inside

We went here for breakfast, following the Unilocal recommendation. Great outdoor seating in a happening street, yet still not one of the touristy places like around the corner. By the way, it was here that I first noticed what I suspect to be an Antwerp fad: the explicit option on the menu to beef up your breakfast with a glass of cava. :-)
The biggest surprise came on the way to the bathroom: there is a really cool basement lounge, very impressive.

I actually just told our Community manager that i’m missing a real cool coffee shop in Antwerp. Well this one is coming close. As i first walked in, it wasn’t that inviting, untill i went downstairs. There you have this old basement which is transformed in a cool lounge place with loads of seating.
The authenticity of the building makes it very cosy and inviting.
I ordered one of their specials called «Winterkoffie» It was a special roast with chocolate, cinnamon and oranges. It was ok… but nothing so special that it blew my mind.
As a second drink I ordered their Chai and from what i remembered, a good Chai is hard to find but i think a found a place in Antwerp!
I really like this place and i’ll bet i’ll visit some more but what keeps it from being a real coffeeshop as what i’m looking for, they’re missing WIFI!

Auf der Suche nach einem Frühstück sind wir im Antwerpener Daily Roast gelandet, da es bereits von außen sehr vielversprechend aussah und gleich in der Nähe vom Grote Markt gelegen ist. Auch innen ist das Café sehr schön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Der Kaffee wird selbst geröstet und schmeckt prima. Das Früstück mit frisch gepresstem Orangensaft, Croissants, Petit Pain, Marmelade, Eier und Käse war lecker und reichlich. Im Untergeschoss eröffnet sich eine puristisch-​schicke Lounge mit Ledersesseln im Backstein-​Kellergewölbe und lädt ein, um sich mit Freunden hier zu treffen.
