The check in/out is quick, the girls in the lobby are friendly. But the A/C in the rooms don’t do their job as good as you might expect, my room was hot, and when I wanted to open a window. I found out it was blocked, as a precousion to prevent people from jumping out.
The free bar, is non alcoholic and holds ony 2 small bottles. The bar closes at night. And there was a sticker in my shower. Left there from some kid I guess.
It’s ok I guess, but I don’t think it’s worth the amount they’re asking.

Located on a big street about 2 km east of the centre of Antwerp; close to the Jewish quarter.
Great:
— Affordable prices
— Free and quite good coffee in the lobby
— A supermarket and some restaurants and bars are close by.
— Free drinks in the mini bar
— Free W-LAN
— Nice and well equipped rooms.
Bad:
— Black, dark and dirty corridors
— Hotel garage was closed during our stay and public parking on the street was about 5 Euros a day.
— Windows can not be opened
All in all: Good value for the money!

Conveniently situated about 10 – 15 minutes walk from the railway station and within comfortable walking distance of the old town and the waterfront this is a good place to base yourself to explore the area. Just round the corner is a pleasant pedestrianised square with a wide selection of bars and restaurants.
The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and quiet with good public areas. It’s worth paying the extra and having the breakfast.

Giessen, Hessen

Hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Doppelzimmer für die Nacht ohne Frühstück aber inklusive der Minibar und dem Kaffee-Automaten in der Lobby für knapp 60.- EUR. Das Personal am Check-In selbstverständlich mehrsprachig und kompetent und freundlich.
Dafür nimmt man die Lage, die etwas abseits der Innenstadt liegt, gern in Kauf wer schlau ist, hat eh sein Fahrrad dabei und ist damit innerhalb weniger Minuten wo immer man eben hin will.
An die schwarzen Zimmerflure mit den beleuchteten Zimmernummer-Fußmatten muss man sich erst gewöhnen: Mir persönlich war das eine Nummer zu pornös.
Die Zimmer selbst nicht riesig, aber sauber und die Bäder und Betten modern, praktisch und schick. Der schwarze Teppich in den Fluren und das dunkle Lila im Zimmer ist extrem verräterisch, was Schmutz, Staub und sonstigen Dreck angeht hier sieht man jede Hautschuppe und jedes Haar. Prima, dass wir davon zu Beginn unseres Aufenthalts nichts dergleichen entdeckt haben. Kleinigkeit, über die man mäkeln könnte: Der Föhn im Bad war verkniestet und kaputt. Das Fenster verschlossen, nein, abgeschlossen und nach dem (vergeblichen) Öffnungsversuch nur mit roher Gewalt wieder dicht zu verschließen. Aber pfff. Nix wildes.
Wenn’s mal wieder nur für né Nacht Antwerpen sein muss, komm ich hierher gerne wieder.

Troisdorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen

Wir waren für ein Kurz-Wochenende im topmodernen Sir Plantin. Sehr chic eingerichtet (Bar sowie Zimmer). Das Highlight ist das hochglanz schwarze Bad und der Gang aus dem Fahrstuhl…
Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.
Der einzige Minuspunkt ist die nicht funktionierende Klimaanlage im Zimmer, sie hat nicht gekühlt.
Die nächste METRO-Station ist ca. 800 m entfernt, also super, um das Auto stehen zu lassen und Antwerpen per Fuß kennenzulernen.
Zusatzpunkt ist die kostenlose Minibar im Zimmer. Der hoteleigene Parkplatz kostet jedoch 20 Euro am Tag, was sehr überteuert ist. Es gibt jedoch in den umliegenden Straßen Parkzonen mit Parkuhr (übliche werktags-Zeiten).
Das Hotel ist alles in Allem sehr empfehlenswert — besonders für junge Paare.
