Le Titanic

An okay restaurant with a classic Belgian menu and a nice Titanic-​themed interior. Service and food are decent, and there are a few outside tables in summer.

Met a business associate here for dinner. He called ahead and made a reservation for a «corner table,» which ended up being an excellent table for a private meeting. The closest table was several feet away and on the other side of a wide pillar.
The restaurant has two levels so is larger than it appears from the outside. Probably something like three dozen tables. Nice bar too, although we spend no time there.
I started with the shrimp scampi, which the server cautioned was spicy. It was mildly spicy. I enjoyed it stay away only if you regard ketchup to be a spice or are otherwise completely adverse to spicy food. A better description would be zesty. Again, I enjoyed it. I’d order it again.
They had a small but nice beer list. I had a Leffe blond, which is a nice Belgium beer somewhat along the lines of Stella Artois. I prefer my beers to be as dark as my soul but that’s more about the taste than anything else. I want my beers to be tasty and the Leffe was. Good choice.
We shared a steak dinner for two. Underwhelming. The portion size was good. Not huge but more than enough. The meal was served on separate plates, which we preferred as we are business associates and not family. Came with very nicely done French fries: hot and slightly crispy on the outside. The Belgians know how to do fries, that’s for sure.
The meat itself was okay. Not great and not awful. Just not terribly tasty on its own. Could have benefited from being marinated for a day. Came with three sauces. I used the mustard one and that was nice. A very mild, creamy mustard sauce. Nice condiment but I prefer my streak unadorned. If the meat is good and well prepared then there should be no need for condiments.
Service was spotty. Pleasant and attentive at times. Invisible and inaccessible at other times. We needed to go down to the main level to ask to pay.

Just taking a look at the interior of the owner (undoubtably a Titanic aficionado?) is already worth a visit. I had a reasonable steak there once, the service was quite ok (given we were in a big group). It’s usually quite busy for lunch time.

Bof, joli cadre, bon service mais le cheese burger/​frites (16 €) était petit et sans plus et quand même cher pour ce que c’est. Wifi gratuit.

I went here because the Bier Circus is closed on Mondays. They had a decentish selection of beer (nothing to write home about) but they also had English menus and a decent waitstaff. I had the steak — it was slightly tough — but!!! The Roquefort sauce was delicious!

J’y suis allée deux fois et deux fois en terrasse en été.
Je trouve que c’est un restaurant très agréable et je garde un très bon souvenir de mon succulent morceau de steak et de ma dame blanche!
La qualité y est et les prix sont corrects!

J’adore la viande et j’adore le film de James Cameron, autant dire que quand j’ai entendu parler de cet endroit, j’ai tout de suite été séduit par le concept… et je n’ai pas été déçu! Il manqué quand même une glacé iceberg digne de ce nom en dessert… Blague à part, c’est vrai que c’est un peu cher, juste pour chipoter, mais bon, ça vaut vraiment le coup, surtout si vous voulez manger dans une ambiance tranquille et dans un cadre vraiment sympa! Dommage que ce Titanic né flotte pas sur l’eau!

Le Titanic a vraiment un plus au niveau de son ambiance (façon ancien bateau, boiseries, toiles et tentures).
C’est un endroit où le calme règne et où l’on est jamais pressé par qui que ce soit. Les serveurs sont souriants et discrets, autant dire parfaits.
Les plats sont des plats de viande typiques et biens servis, les prix y sont peut-​être un peu élevés pour la seule assiette mais une telle atmosphère peut bien se payer un peu !

Au niveau de la décoration intérieure, au Titanic, on effectue, en effet, une plongée dans le temps et dans l’ambiance du célèbre navire. Côté carte, des plats de brasserie, des spécialités belges et françaises, copieux et très bons. Le tout avec le sourire et pour une addition des plus acceptables… Une bonne petite adresse, parfaite pour célébrer un événement en groupe.
