My husband and I really enjoyed eating here. The restaurant is small and not very crowded. The menu had traditional dishes. The food was just simply delicious. It was not overly fancy, but it was nicely put together. I had the fire-roasted pork, and it was delicious. It came with vegetables, salad, and potatoes. The vegetables were especially nicely done. I would definitely go there again if I were to find myself in Brussels.

We came here based on the reviews and photos provided on Unilocal.Although there were only four reviews dating back to 2012, I have to say that they were entirely accurate in that this place was warm, welcoming, not overpriced, and delicious. We were greeted by not only the waiter, but chef as well and even accommodated with suggestions for wine with our dinner. My only regret is that we did not give them more of our business for dessert, but we were too full and satisfied by the end of our truly great experience.

Good food, fresh, made to order, not overly processed. Very nice owner and the 1 person wait staff was effecient, friendly, and accomodating. It’s just the 2 of them, but it works. They have 2 set price menus, or you can order Ala carte, and a decent wine list. It’s a small place with 6 tables which can be expanded to 9, and a couple tables outside. A very relaxed atmosphere. It’s has the smallest kitchen I’ve ever seen for a restaurant but with just 1 person cooking, how much space do you need? A little pricey, but it’s to be expected in Brussels.

Really, incredibly special place. The owner and the waiter were both so funny and warm and welcoming. It’s hard being in a foreign country, not speaking the language and going to a tiny little café. You never know how people will react to you… Well, here I can promise you it will be with a warm smile, open arms and a recommendation for the best thing cooking that day. The chef and the waiter chatted us up. They even had English menus. We had an amazing wine with dinner. 3 of us, each got the 3 course dinner. This tiny place was packed and unfortunately we saw them have to turn away a few sad souls because of being overfull. Side note: I still think often about how delicious the escargot was here… Garlicky, buttery, heavenly goodness.

Stayed in Brussels 3 nights… this restaurant by far was the best bang for the buck. The chef himself greeted us… and the entire family fed us well. We had 3 course meals(Monkfish and Pork) and both were EXCELLENT!!! Such a bargain for the money… a great short walk from Grand Place… and AWESOME!!!

I love this restaurant. If you are looking for great food in a cozy, interesting setting, this is it. It’s a small, two-person show, but very worthwhile. In a town with a ton of restaurants it stands out above the rest. I’ve eaten here twice during a couple trips to Brussels and will go back next time I’m in town. All that said, don’t go if you are in a hurry or want to be waited on hand and foot. That’s not what this place is about.
