Aeroporto Internacional Eduardo Gomes

Gente, o que é isso? Para um aeroporto internacional, passou vergonha! Na praça de alimentação há três opções: um Califórnia coffee, uma pizza hut e um bob’s. No outro andar, há uma casa do pão de queijo. As locadoras de carro são completamente ineficientes e uma delas estava fechada durante um bom tempo em que estivermos por lá. Passamos cinco horas no aeroporto, que não tem a menor infra estrutura para uma situação como esta. Em vários lugares não há sinal de telefone, a internet que eles oferecem, além de paga, não cumpre com o propósito.

The domestic arrival area was spacious, luggage carousel seemed to be working well. A nice open welcoming area with two functioning ATMs in the corner and clean bathrooms all around.
We only ate at the pão de queijo on the ground floor which was not in the Internet range. It was fine though not as modern as other ones.
I was unable to connect on the free wifi. Maybe too many people were on the network by after half an hour, I gave up trying. Taxis were waiting out front and it was a steep price of R$ 88 to the city. The bus was also an option for R$ 20 if you have a more flexible schedule.

Wow I had to do a 24 hour layover in this airport and I hope to never do it again. I saw the cleaning people come and go!
It would have been bearable if they had some comfortable seats, but it was all plastic, hard and partitioned.
I didn’t want to get out of the airport for fear I would miss my flight. It is a little chaotic and very worn down as an airport. I’m surprised they even function.

O aeroporto está em reforma e sendo ampliado. Está com uma sala de embarque mais ampla, moderna, confortável, mas ainda faltam lojas e uma praça de alimentação adequada. A corrida de táxi com origem ou destino o aeroporto é tabelada e custa R$ 65,00 em novembro de 2014. O trânsito de Manaus é muito travado, o que deve ser levado em conta na hora de ir para o aeroporto.

My friends and I call this place a «bus stop». We literally have seen bus stations that are bigger than this terminal. We’ve been through this airport 3 times on our World Cup tours in Brazil, which is more than we had cared for.
The building is mostly air conditioned, but has very few food places available (especially at 3am). There is free Wi-​Fi (WiFi Gratis), once you enter your personal information (which feels weird for Americans).
The airport is clearly new and it seems like not everything is 100% in place yet. The drinking fountain, for example, is shiny and new, but doesn’t work.
I managed to get a nibble of food at the cheese-​bread stand, which was decent.
The waiting terminal/​boarding area is one giant room with several gates against the back wall. Our gate got moved from one end to the other. There are enough chairs for everyone, but there’s a hard tile floor. FYI, this is not the best place to place an overnight stay or a middle-​of-​the-​night flight, due to the lack of sleepable places.
The taxi stand outside had official-​looking agents directing us into «taxis», none of which were marked as taxis. They also didn’t have meters and didn’t discuss a price before driving us off. Just a heads up.

Der Flughafen Manaus International ist klein und sehr gut organisiert. Im Wartebereich gibt es freies WLAN und ein wenig Gastronomie. Außerdem ein Buch– und Zeitschriftenladen.
Das Boarding beginnt früh und die Flüge sind alle sehr pünktlich.

Aeroporto precisando de reformas gerais. Estrutura razoável para o tráfego existente hoje.

Para um aeroporto que ira receber o mundo para a copa de 2014 precisa melhorar muito, mas as expectativas são as melhores pelas melhorias. Porém ele ainda e um dos melhores e maiores do norte do Brasil. @israel_sales
