What a disappointment! I have been to this restaurant three times, the first two times we ordered the chicken dinners with rice, fries, and farofa; they were not bad, they use a funny seasoning on the chicken which made it taste weird. Edible. Each time we went we saw brick ovens blazing and I told my wife one day we will get the pizza as a little treat, because brick oven wood fired pizza is awesome. I didn’t think it could go wrong, was I ever mistaken. I don’t know if the cooks don’t know how to use the ovens but that is the impression I was left with. We ordered two small pizzas and a dessert pizza, I’m getting sick to my stomach just thinking about them as I type this. My pizza was suppose to be a Hawaiian, they call it the Australian on their menu. The wife ordered the Buffalo: basil, sun-dried tomatoes, and buffalo mozzarella. The desert pizza was to be topped with cinnamon, sugar, and bananas. The crusts didn’t turn out like a wood fired pizza should, they were raw not baked. The ham on my pizza seemed like sliced ham from a deli, the pineapple seemed fresh, and the cheese was melted but not bubbling. The Buffalo pizza was scary, I thought the made a mistake and brought out a salad. The pizza was heaped with arugula, not basil, and cold sun-dried tomatoes. The dessert pizza was no better off, crust not done. All in all too much money was spent on this disappointment, they will not be getting any more of our business. The reason for the two stars is because the service is prompt and the restaurant is clean.
