We stopped by this place for a quick late night bite. It had been swamped by the blocos and so their beverage list consisted of a bottle of Bohemia and an ice tea. They were out of chopps, Noi beer, Jeffrey’s beer, even water! I imagine this place is pretty nice when they carry all their advertised drinks, including Nat’s sangria. The waitress was definitely drunk and had a hard time processing our order at the time. She must have enjoyed the blocos and was having a hard time standing up. The food was subpar. For a place labeled as empanadas, one would think it’s their speciality. The carne was pretty gross, maybe the meat was old but the cheese and onion was much better. The chicken one was decent and the garlic and cheese(Minas Gerias) was very similar to the onion and cheese. For dessert I tried the banana Nutella and honestly couldn’t tell if either of those two ingredients were actually in the empanada. It had a thin dark paste that reminded me of goiabada. I guess you have to specify that you are getting a combo(two regular empanadas and one sweet) to get the deal(R$ 20), because we were charged regular price for each. Seating was only about four small tables, all outside so bring your mosquito repellent!

A lover of Argentine empanadas, I was really looking forward to checking this newish place out. This cute hole-in-wall has a small menu but features a handful of different empanada options(carne, carne picante, frango, queijo e presunto, cebola e queijo, etc). There’s also a nice selection of beers — and an artesenal chopp that cost us R$ 19 for two small cups. I went with the carne picante and was really disappointed. It tasted old and stale and the meat was very dry. I think this place could be so much more if the empanadas were freshly made. Service was also not very good. She didn’t explain anything or seem particularly interested. Sadly, I won’t be back.

Um lugar muito bacana para beber um chope e fazer um belisco. Adoro a empanada de camarão. Simplesmente divinal. O recheio bem cremoso e a massa assada no ponto. Moro ao pé e com frequencia uso o serviço de delivery que normalmente têm umas promoções bem legais.
