Voltar? Sim!

Beware the bait-and-switch! They removed the tuna tartare from the Spicy Tuna rolls(my favorite, incidentally) but didn’t update the menu. Definitely not cool to tell people they’re getting one thing and then give them less – for the same price. The waiter’s reaction was something along the lines of, «Oh yeah they changed it.» Okay. Maybe I’m just cranky because it took them like 40 minutes to serve us. Check out Japan’s on Rua Bolivar for equally decent prices and a better selection.

I was disappointed with the sushi. I started with a California roll. My grocery store serves better. The roll looked bland and tasted bland. Ordered a few items and all failed to inspire. I give it 3 stars because the food did not make me sick. But it was overwhelmingly average. OK to skip this one.

Fresh sea food! Kind waiter! We were cold with air condition but we ate very good! Sushi and sashimi were good!

Took way too long for the food to arrive, we were the first to walk in and last to be served! Kitchen is disorganized… Food is ok, but you can find better for less money and less wait!

Well, at first I thought this place shit down but they just closed for remodeling. Now they’re open again for business and the restaurant got a nice makeover. It’s expanded and has a nice bright enclosed patio with skylights to let in the natural light. Unfortunately in the process of making the restaurant bigger they had to make the grocery store a little smaller. Somehow it seems like they don’t quite carry all the same items. I hadn’t tried the restaurant out before so we have it a go. I had two nigiri pieces of salmon and salmon skin. The salmon was fine, nothing special(neither amazingly fresh or tentatively old). The salmon skin was a little less impressive. I would have liked it to be crispier like deep fried and crunchy but it was a little greasy and soft. Next was the gyoza(dumplings), which again I prefer to be slightly pan fried and crispy on the outside. They provided very little sauce to dip them in. The yakisoba was quite salty and the sauce was really heavy. We couldn’t eat much of it. I would suggest to stick with the udon, which was in a decent broth and the tempura was crispy and tasty. This is probably the best dish we got. Overall the restaurant was average. The grocery store portion looked nice in presentation but probably has the same selection as many of the casa vita stores.

Ate there once and did not like it :(plate of sushi took forever to be served and it was not nice — sashimi was not handled very well. The only reason I’m giving it any star at all is for the product section — there carry a fair amount of Asian items, despite the prices being on the high side, they also carry tofu and beans sprouts. Bad experience once though that I was so happy to see pineapple tarts there, bought it, only to find it covered in mould when I opened it :( Anyways, it has been closed for the past few weeks. Wonder what happened …

Few times in Brazil I felt like I was in a cosmopolitan place like London, where I lived for 5 to 6 years. When I have entered this restaurant and passed by the Japanese supermarket to access the table I did feel like I was in a Brazilian piece of Japan. I have loved the food. Imported lychee juice with pieces of the fruit is delicious. I found the same about the sushi, with a grand finally of a Brazilian addiction mix brigadeiro harumaki, but I would prefer the Nutella one. You can even check the menu or take away terms and conditions online at . Japanese food is expensive everywhere I have been in the world. Taking this into account, this restaurant is reasonably priced in my opinion.

Amazing sushi! Friendly staff. Good prices. Great location. It doubles as a restaurant and an all Asian market. Will defiantly be returning!

A very helpful and polite waiter introduced us to the menu and drinks. We were introduced to two very nice local beers at his suggestion. The food came at different times, so we didn’t get the starters and mains at the same time. However the food was a very high quality and delicious. We also bought some Japanese treats from the shop.

I’ve never tried the restaurant part of this business, but I’m a frequent visitor to their supermarket section. They sell a lot of asian products, from Japanese to Thai and Chinese, from cooking knives and plates to food items, sweets, and alcoholic products, and this is a perfect place to buy all you need to cook asian recipes. My current favorite is the red/green curry paste.
