George V – Alto de Pinheiros

I have stayed at the George V twice. When traveling in Brazil, I have found that many times the staff of the properties are not very accommodating. The George V and their staff are the opposite… went out of their way to try to make mine and my 2 professional athletes feel comfortable and safe.
Things like allowing me to stay in the room till 4 (as I had an evening flight back to the states), helping me with transportation, cleaning the room when I was gone, not first thing in the morning.
Now its not a Four Seasons, but I gave it 5 stars as for Brazil, it was very good… and a great value.
Large rooms with wood floors, kitchenettes, whirlpool tubs, separate sleeping area, steam room and sauna in gym… very nice.

I have stayed there 2 times within the last 2 years. The 4 stars is a stretch. 3.5 would have been more accurate. The room (apartment, as they call it) is big, with kitchen. The front desk service is OK.
The breakfast at the the restaurant is above average. I didn’t try their weekday buffet lunch. They are not open for dinner any day and lunch/​dinner on weekends but you can order room service. I did try a lunch on Saturday but it was not great.
The location of the restaurant is convenient since there are some good restaurants around there.

O George V é um hotel com cara de apartamento. O quarto em que fiquei tinha uma sala, uma pequena cozinha e até uma área de sala de jantar, isso além do quarto e do banheiro.
Todo o espaço comum do hotel é amplo, e entre as salas de ginástica e a sala onde são servidas as refeições, tudo é muitíssimo confortável.
Está localizado em uma região muito central, próxima a grandes avenidas e apenas a uma caminhada da Vila Madalena. É perfeito para executivos que ficarão algum tempo na cidade e querem conforto e comidade.
O preço também é bom, especialmente avaliando o que é oferecido ao hóspede. A única coisa completamente fora de padrão é a lavanderia, e realmente não vale pagar R$ 50 para lavar duas camisas.
A recepção está sempre pronta para atender qualquer dúvida e ajudar em qualquer circunstância.
