The worst Japanese food/service I have had — period. The«shabu — shabu» on the menu should be avoided at ALLCOST. They charge 88 Reais(44USD) for a bowl of soggy vegetables, 2 slices of low grade meat(don’t know what kind) and some udon noodles from a package in a tasteless broth loaded with MSG in some kind of fake Asian steel bowl. Basically worse than fast food udon noodle bowl served in a train station in Asia. The only thing worse was the tempura, which can only be described as — OLD. Table of three executives had 3 of the fake shabu shabu and tempura and 3 of us almost puked. MSG taste lingered all the way home. After complaining about the incredibly bad non-shabu shabu and tempura we were shocked to see that the parking«validation» was charged as well to the bill(10.00). Kinu — you should be ashamed. Owned by Hyatt group?

The sushi was good but there was something… about it that I just wasn’t feeling. Maybe it was different flavoring than I’m used to. The fish quality was good and the service excellent. The prices were crazy high, though. R$ 183 for one person… R$ 30 just for 2 pellegrinos.

Menu executivo nada mais que razoável, mas cuidado com as pegadinhas: água mineral R$ 15,00 e Nespresso R$ 10,00. Para não voltar.

KINU is situated on the premises of the Grand Hyatt in Sao Paulo, and every time I stop there, I eat at KINU. Service staff are attentive and friendly to a fault. And both the sushi and hot dishes are always absolutely delicious. Fantastic.
