We placed an order by phone for delivery and then they never showed up after waiting for over an hour. We called to see what happened and they had closed.

The food was good, I had the octopus appetizer and duck curry. The octopus was delicious not too chewy or tough, very well set up as well. The curry was a little less spicy than most but still full of flavor. You’ll need more rice, but delicious all around.

Well, the first time I went here I was impressed by the ambiance and the chic décor. I went with a couple friends and we ordered four plates, the only one that stood out was the lamb curry. I am big fan of Thai food and was really looking forward to those bold flavors. The experience was nice but nothing special.
My husband and I decided to go back this weekend so I could determine if maybe it was just the chef that night that didn’t deliver what was expected. Honestly the environment is so relaxing it’s hard not to want to dine here. We tried to order the lamb curry and they «were out». We thought okay this is opportunity to order some completely different plates. We ordered the duck curry and efu noodles. The food arrived and the curry looked and smelled delicious, as soon as we took our first bite we both agreed it was lacking that tangy kick, it had the spice but nothing else, barely even any flavor. We were surprised because it smelled so good! We asked for lime and salt to add ourselves which made it much better. The noodles were so so and overall I was a disappointed and we probably won’t be coming back but I will say the restaurant is beautiful, relaxing, and romantic and the staff is very warm and helpful. They just need to get a chef that contributes to the wonderful setup they have there.

Restaurante com inspiração Tailandesa, Chinesa e Coreana.
O ambiente é bem legal, com a temática asiática, é claro. As mesas são muito coladas umas na outras, como já disseram aqui.
Quando as bebidas, eles tem varias opções de coquetéis, vinhos e outras bebidas. Não tem suco natural, apenas de caixinha. Queria provar o chá de hibiscus, mas estavam sem. Acabei tomando um suco de tomate, muito bem temperado.
Quando aos pratos, o Pad Thai estava muito bom !! Pedi um frango, que não lembro o nome. Não era tão bom assim. Me arrependi de não pedir os buns, porque o garçom me falou que eram pequenos; mas a mesa do lado pediu, e eles eram grandes e pareciam muito bons! :(
O preço é muito bom também. Quero voltar para comer os buns!

If you are looking for absolutely authentic Thai or Chinese food, this is not the place. However if you are open to some creative fusion and want to try some different southeast Asian inspired flavors, this place is awesome. This style of food is hard to come by in Brazil, and they execute pretty well. As another reviewer stated, this is a go to when you’re craving the taste of lemongrass in São Paulo.
I’ve been several times and never been let down. They do a lovely job of presentation with the dishes, and the drinks are pretty good too. When they say spicy, they’re not messing around, so let the waiter know if you’re sensitive. I’m a big fan of their spicier meat curries, Thai soups and creative banana cheesecake dessert.
My only real gripe with this place is the layout. The tables are really close together and the acoustics aren’t great, so if you go on a busy night you really have to get loud in order to have a conversation.

Tian é uma delicia! E é lindo! Realmente as porções são pequenas, eu calculo sempre 1,5 por pessoa. O arroz com pato e lula é muito bom! Super recomendo. Mas não vá com muita fome.

A minha nota é 2,5 estrelas.
Fui no Tian para comemorar meu aniversário. A decoração do restaurante é bem bonita: elementos étnicos e outros mais finos. A idéia é boa: share the moment. Segundo o garcom, para 5 pessoas seriam 5 pratos. Ai que tá o problema.
A ideia deles é que todos na mesa dividam todos os pratos, um conceito bem comum na Ásia. O problema é que alguns são tão pequenos (tipo o filé mignom) que não tinha suficiente para todos experimentarem. Calcule uma média de dois pratos inteiros por pessoa com fome ok.
Apesar das micro porções os pratos são deliciosos. Sugiro o Arroz de LuLa e Pato e o Lamen Tian. Não comi sobremesa.
O serviço é atencioso, mas um pouco confuso. Tinha um cumin que nao acertava um prato.
Seria ótimo se eles realmente servissem comida e não pedaços e migalhas.

Provei o Tom Kah — muito salgado e porcao pequena.
O atendimento nao foi dos melhores, faltaram alguns potes para a sopa e arroz para acompanhar.

I lived in Sao Paulo for 5 months. All I wanted was some Thai food.
Someone recommended Tian to me, and much to my delight, we ended up moving into Itaim, just a few blocks from it!
First off, this is legit Thai. The dishes are authentic and delicious. They have wonderful cocktails. They have lots of vegetarian options!!!
We frequented this restaurant several time during our stay in Brasil. The food was always delicious, though the service would range from fabulous to nonexistent. A few times my veggie tom kha soup had to be sent back because it arrived with chicken in it. (And trust me, we ordered in Portuguese.)
However, despite the occasional mistakes, and the occasional rude server, we still loved the restaurant. They have great lunch specials as well!
A must try if you love Thai.

Great thai find in Sao Paulo! Tasty thai food for a reasonable price for Sao Paulo standards. Service is great and the food comes out very quickly. The ambience is also very nice with large asian umbrellas and asian inspired décor. For the food, keep in mind that most portions are small, I recommend:
+Pad Thai– taste even better than the Bangkok street food! Not too sweet– it was perfect!
+Filet mignon with snap peas– light brown sauce, very tender meat and crunchy veggie– perfect combo!
+Pork buns– always a good choice!
+Mieng– it’s their version of a chicken lettuce wrap– comes with cut up ginger, lemon, chillies and peanuts– a very refreshing choice!
+Spicy eggplant is also a delicious dish worth trying
+Miso fish– really tasty sauce and fresh flaky fish
+Golden basket– tuna in a little wonton crisp with wasabi
Dish I tried and did not like:
–Mango and shrimp salad– quite boring, the shrimp weren’t well seasoned– wouldn’t recommend it
–Tom Kha soup was so bland I only had a spoonful and left the rest
–Duck curry was very heavy, not my favorite but my husband did like it
–Bock choi– basically just steamed with little seasoning
–Asparagus with oyster mushrooms– also too little seasoning
For the dessert I highly recommend the Trio Crème Brule– with chai tea, ginger and lemongrass– my favorite!!!

O conceito share the moment do restaurante cai por terra logo na entrada se vc vai jantar em casal. A porção de golden basket vem com 5 unidades minúsculas — pedi ao garçom que mandasse 6 para podermos compartilhar igualmente e o maître se deu ao trabalho de vir à mesa e dizer que o conceito da casa não permitia enviar 1 unidade a mais. Assim ja começamos mal o jantar nos sentindo pouco valorizados como clientes tendo que ouvir o comentário lamentável do maître. Pessoas despreparadas põem a perder o trabalho dos proprietários. A porções são minúsculas e o jantar que prometia ser uma experiência se transformou num trâmite corriqueiro e dessaboroso. A sobremesa (cheesecake de banana) estava gostosa mas não gelada.
Assim São Paulo continua órfão de um bom restaurante de comida THAI.

By far the best meal I had on a trip to Brazil. The chef came out to our table. He was very friendly, went to culinary school in New York, and even sent out a complimentary dish.
The ribs were fantastic. The meat was not overly tender, like many restaurants that just steam the ribs until they are mush. And the spices and sauce were a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, with a small cilantro finish.
Based on this, we asked the chef to just send out the best seven dishes. Each one was amazing. We had the steak, the calamari, the pad Thai, the fried rice, and a few others. Each was prepared with attention to detail and a fine balance.
I highly recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for a new place to try or a new go to restaurant, try this place.

Que restaurante legal. Apesar de termos chegado tarde fomos muito bem atendidos. Pedimos 4 pratos diferentes para um casal! Foi o suficiente! A sobremesa também estava incrível. Vale muito a pena experimentar o frango apimentado que tem nas porções. O Pad Thai também eh ótimo. O único que não foi tão surpreendente foi a picanha. Atendimento impecável, comida impecável. Preco um pouco salgado! Mas valeu. Foi ótimo.

O Tian é, sem dúvidas, um dos meus restaurantes preferidos em São Paulo. Se você é fã da culinária asiática contemporânea, não deixe de visitar.
O sugerido pela casa é pedir diferentes pratos e dividir as porções com os acompanhantes. O pato com curry e o tradicional Pad Thai estão entre os meus favoritos. Também recomendo o arroz doce com manga de sobremesa.
A decoração é impecável e os garçons se vestem à caráter, no estilo Thailandês. Tudo isso a um preço bem razoável tratando-​se de São Paulo. Altamente recomendável!

This was a Thai/​Chinese fusion restaurant. My first impression was salty. Even the Pad Thai which should be a bit on the sweet side was salty. The interpretation of the asian fusion here left me have very little to compliment for. You can try it yourself, but being Chinese myself and have traveled the world for authentic asian cuisines this was definitely not up to par for its star ratings.

Comida impecável, com destaque para o arroz com camarão e linguiça. Para quem gosta de pimenta, o pato com curry vermelho é a pedida. Sua boca vai ficando dormente. É viciante.

Chegar de Tuk-​tuk para almoçar em São Paulo? Sim! Aqui no Tian isso é possível.
Esta é apenas uma das várias atrações do restaurante. A mistura asiática, a decoração e todos esses detalhes se devem ao fato de que os donos, principalmente a dona, trouxe diretamente da Thailandia o ambiente, o conceito e claro as receitas secretas de sua família para serem incluídas no cardápio.
Eu quis provar um pouco de tudo então comecei pedindo um chá de hibisco. O sabor estava ótimo e me lembrou muito a água de Jamaica que se toma no México.
Como entrada pedimos o atum empanado com molho (um pouco picante) e as Golden baskets (cestinhas crocantes recheadas de frango e milho). Confesso que com essas delícias já fiquei quase satisfeita.
Como prato principal pedimos a Crispy Duck Salad, com um molho delicioso e um pato melhor ainda) e claro o tão esperado (e amado) Pad Thai. Para quem não conhece é um macarrão de arroz «bahn stick» com camarão, moyashi, broto de feijão, limão, tamarindo e amendoim.
Várias das opções do cardápio são vegetarianas, ou podem ser adaptadas se você quiser.
O serviço é muito atencioso e pode explicar os pratos e fazer sugestões se você quiser. Não provei nenhum sobremesa nesta primeira vez, mas com certeza na próxima vez acho que o escolhido será o trio de Crème Brulee.
