We also mediate elder issues and all family conflicts.

Counselling programs are provided for children and youth affected by separation — including divorce, grief, relocation and new immigrants.

Susan Parsons has been dedicated to positive family outcomes within Durham Region for over 22 years supporting youth and their families transition through very difficult and complex life events. She has developed multiple programs for both children and adults that support these initiatives.

Susan is currently a professor of Family Mediation I & II and The Practice of Mediation at Durham College.

She has penned two instruction manuals on anger management and conflict resolution which have been in use by the Durham District School Board’s expelled students program for eight years.

She sat on the TAPP-​C (the arson prevention program for children) for seven years and conducted risk assessments for youth referred to this program.

Susan has travelled extensively and has provided international outreach to areas that include Tibet, North Africa and Vietnam.

She has been selected to present a workshop on Family Mediation at the bi-​annual provincial OACYC conference, 2011.
